POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For Filipino-Australian filmmaker Rachel Maxine Anderson (@rachelmaxinex), the journey to Canneseries with her groundbreaking series ‘Ina’ (@ina.series) was a profound moment of validation.

In our latest feature, Anderson opens up about navigating cultural displacement, the complex dynamics between immigrant mothers and their daughters, and finding home in the international spotlight. Releasing globally on Philippine Independence Day, the series serves as a healing balm for those who have spent their lives navigating the unsteady space between cultures.

I’ll be at @screenworks_aus Regional to Global Screen Forum in Lennox Head this Thursday 10 SEP 🌞

I’ll be joining the Creators Unleashed: Building Audiences, Communities & Global Reach panel, alongside creative soulmate @raechoi_ & @alyce_adams @dariusdevas @macfarlanebros moderated by @cadenwrites

Together we’ll be exploring how today’s screen creators are building audiences, growing communities and finding new pathways to connect our work with audiences both at home and around the globe.

It feels particularly cool to be doing this one with Rae after our massive journey making Ina and putting our baby out into the world! We will even be there with @alyce_adams who we were lucky to work with on our marketing strategy and series release.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there, come have a yap!

The program looks great. Visit

Not long to go now 💛🇵🇭

𝑰𝒏𝒂 is, in many ways, a story about the long way back – to family, culture, and the parts of yourself you’ve been searching for all along.

For creator Rachel Maxine Anderson, the series grew from her own experience of feeling disconnected from her Filipino identity, and from a desire to tell a story about mothers and daughters and finding your way home.

Thank you to @philtimes for this beautiful second feature on the series and the journey behind it.

This Friday, 𝑰𝒏𝒂 premieres on YouTube. After years of development, a world premiere at @canneseries, and the work of so many incredible collaborators, we can’t wait to finally share it with you.
