POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Stephen Hirst @recitasteve as Mr Turner in ‘Viv’s Silly Mango’ Premiering at 8AM AEST tomorrow Sunday 20th November on @abctv alongside three other films as part of #TheKaleidoscopeProject, a joint ABC and @screenaustralia initiative! It’ll also be available to stream online via ABC iView and ABC Me.

A comedy-drama short film directed by @rachelmaxinex, written and produced by @loveofcourse & @raechoi_, and inspired by 90s riot grrrl DIY ethos, ‘Viv’s Silly Mango’ explores friendship, music, and self-discovery through an intersectional Asian-Australian lens.

This film was developed and produced in Meanjin, on the lands of the Jagera and Turrbal Peoples. We pay our deepest respects to their Elders, past and present, and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Storytellers.

Wrapped????? ???

What an amazing adventure Young Rock has been. Although it's hard not to have a good time and you have a boss as cool as @jlwalk (thank ya)

Cried on majority of the people in these photos.

And I'd do it again.

Cheers to great friends that lift up & support each other 🥂

I have been lucky enough to call this wonderful lady a best friend since primary school, and every time I see her I am even more grateful she is in my life.

It's no easy thing working for yourself, or doing life in general.

Actually, sometimes it is a real 🤬

There is certainly ups and downs. 🎢

And in light of Mental Health week, I wanted to jump on here and share that it is OK to feel all those feelings that come with this crazy ride called life.

It's OK to not be OK.

I was lucky enough to spend all Sunday afternoon with this wonderful soul, sharing all those feelings and really getting into the nitty gritty.

And boy, do I feel a million times better for it 🌞

If you're in the thick of it, don't hesitate to reach out and share - the good, the bad and the ugly.

It is amazing what real-life connection can do for the soul and mind.

My heart and ear is always open as well.

Created by Mary Duong and Rachel Anderson, Bananas is a curious and playful look at growing up between two cultures in Queensland – the Sunshine State – with particular focus on food and family, presented by two Australian-born Asian friends who are awkward, honest, and warm in equal parts. Follow the link in bio to watch it as part of the #SXSW 2020 Pilot Showcase on @Vimeo!

Overjoyed that BANANAS got into SXSW 2020’s Episodic Pilot Competition! Last year’s SXSW was inspiring and invigorating, so returning with a project so dear to my heart is a dream ✨

Thanks to co-creator and director @rachelmaxinex for all the laughs, the tears, and the stories 🍌

Thanks to our parents for being part of it in such a big way. This is for you.
Big love to our entire crew, especially our dear friends and collaborators: @rhiannonsteffensen, @bencotgrove, and Joe Switak. We couldn’t have done it without you. And to everyone that has helped us out along the way, I’m endlessly thankful 💖💖 Huge thanks to @sbs_australia and @screen_qld for believing in the project and continuing to support diverse and inclusive storytelling. And thanks @sxsw, I’m still pinching myself 🥰 📷 @mia_forrest
