I genuinely don’t have words for this one. 🥹

13.2 miles today. A PR. The longest I have ever run in my life.

It is absolutely insane to me that Saturdays now include casually running a half marathon. 😂

But this one means even more. The last time I ran 13.1, was 5 years ago. Today-I beat her time on a training run.

@robinnyc my coach- says it all the time: we are not too old. It is not too late. We are not decaying. And damn, does it feel good to prove that to myself.

Old Rachel can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, ’cause she’s dead. ☠️😂

Exhausted. Relieved. Proud. And mostly just so grateful.

Grateful that I get to train along this beach, which still feels like an actual dream. 🌊 And incredibly grateful to every single person who supported my fundraising and helped make it possible for me to be completely locked in on this training and getting to that NYC starting line. 🗽 by @rachishere4it

Turns out Mila’s 10th birthday party was the FIRST birthday party this @ultabeauty location had ever hosted, and I have SO many thoughts. 🎂💄✨

We did hair, skincare demos, makeup demos, Spin to Win games… although Mila apparently decided the makeup artist could take the day off because she stepped right in and took over. 😂

But beyond watching my girl have the BEST time, the retail executive in me was absolutely fascinated by how smart this is.

We talked about tester etiquette. How to explore products safely. How to respect the store and leave it better than you found it. The girls got to discover brands in a fun, guided environment instead of navigating beauty completely on their own.

And from a retail strategy perspective? Genius.

These girls are being introduced to brands at a milestone moment they’ll remember. They’re building familiarity and emotional connection in a way that feels joyful, safe and experiential, while their parents will forever tie @Ulta Beauty to the memory of major milestones. That is how brands earn a place in someone’s heart long before they earn a place in their routine.

Oh, and by booking the party? I became an instant Platinum member (add that to the pitch immediately!)

The next generation of beauty consumers isn’t coming. They’re already here. And creating thoughtful, age-appropriate ways to welcome them into the category while helping parents guide the experience? THAT is the kind of retail innovation I love to see. We share some @thrivecausemetics turquoise with the @ultabeauty team that they were pretty excited about- turns out turquoise goes great with orange🧡

I am unwell and also so proud at the same time. My baby turned 10 today! Her spirit is everything I wished and hoped I could be when I was her age, but was too afraid. I will spend my life defending her right and encouraging her to be herself, to take up space, to follow her dreams to explore her ideas and curiosities. I am so lucky to get to be her mama.❤️‍🔥 by @rachishere4it

Happy Father’s Day to the man who carries more than most people will ever know.

So much was left to be redeemed, yet somehow you chose to become the husband and father our girls deserve instead of repeating what came before. That takes a kind of strength that often goes unseen.

You have one of the most generous hearts I’ve ever encountered. You give your time, your energy, your patience, your protection, and your love freely to the people lucky enough to call you theirs.

And watching you be a girl dad is one of my greatest joys. You are teaching our daughters what kindness looks like, what integrity looks like, what hard work looks like, and most importantly, what it feels like to be deeply loved.

We are so fortunate to walk through this life with you. Thank you for carrying the load, showing up every day, and proving that our past does not define our future.

SHE HANDED ME A FLAMETHROWER. 🔥

For nearly a decade, Robin has been in my ear. Somewhere along the way, her voice informed my inner dialogue.

The courage.
The conviction.
The audacity to bet on myself.
The refusal to play small.
The belief that I am capable of more than I can currently see.

To chase joy.
To create joy.
To lead with joy.

That became my mental health strategy through some very wild seasons of life. Through a pandemic, grief, career pivots, impossible decisions, cross-country moves, and everything in between.

That rewiring didn’t stop with me.

It changed how I lead.
How I show up for my daughters.
How I show up in boardrooms.
How I give others permission to be themselves by setting boundaries & being unapologetically myself!

That’s the thing about a spark. It doesn’t just change one life. It creates a ripple effect that stretches further than we’ll ever know.

If you had told me then-that the woman whose classes helped me thrive through some very hard chapters would one day know my name, write me a card, saying she recognized something in me that reminds her of herself, I would have laughed.

Yet here we are.🐦‍🔥

And while I know she didn’t do the work for me, she absolutely lit the match.
Actually, scratch that🔥
She handed me a flamethrower and dared me to stop playing small.

This was never about the bike.

It was about someone speaking truth to me with wisdom, tenacity and belief that I wish I would have heard growing up but you can bet your bottom dollar my girls hear it now!

And I’m taking that fire all the way to NYC 🌆.

There’s something really powerful about a room full of people choosing to slow down, learn, and reconnect 🤍

Last night at the Orange County Library with Candice Kumai was exactly that.

We talked about Kintsugi Wellness and the beauty of honoring where we’ve been broken and strengthening it. We went deep on the true roots of matcha not just the trend, but the ritual, shared a live matcha moment, grounded ourselves in a group meditation, and opened it up for real, honest Q&A.

And in true Candice fashion… I left changed again.

Every time I hear her speak, I take something tangible back into my life. This time
An alarm clock. Phone out of arm’s reach. Mornings back to being mine.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it thank you for inviting me into a space that supports something so important our libraries, our community, and access to knowledge for all 📚

If you were in the room, you felt it. If you weren’t consider this your sign to protect your mornings and pour into yourself first.

You know those connections that feel random at first… until they’re clearly not?

Meeting Candice felt serendipitous- at an @robinnyc event in NY and then the layers started unfolding. More shared people, shared values, the same kind of energy in how we show up and what we stand for. The kind of connection that makes you realize… this wasn’t by chance💜

And what I love most is that we say each other’s names in rooms full of opportunity. No hesitation. No competition. Just real women supporting women, opening doors, and making sure the other one is in the conversation.

We’ve been gassing each other up ever since and I can’t wait to bring that energy to this conversation ✨

Candice’s wellness rituals have fully reprogrammed my mornings -and I know you’ll walk away with something that sticks, too.

There’s nothing I love more than getting to celebrate you and your life, your heart, your light. Being by your side on your birthday felt like such a gift.

We’ve walked through so much together, and I don’t take a single step of it for granted. Sky daddy knew exactly what He was doing when we were placed on the same path long enough for us to find something this real—one of the most genuine, honest, and truly healthy friendships I’ve ever known. @orple_haze

And maybe what means the most… our girls get to grow up watching it. Watching how we show up, how we love, how we choose each other and nourish our sisterhood again and again.

Some days just hit you in the heart in the best way.

While we were at the hospital with Mila today, our neighbors took our older daughter in like she was their own… and then quietly came over and covered our front door in “get well soon” signs for Mila to come home to 🥹

It’s such a simple gesture, but it meant everything.

In a world that can feel really heavy, this one reminder I’m hanging on to… that there is still so much goodness all around us. People showing up. People caring. People going out of their way to make someone else feel loved.

I don’t take that for granted.

Hold your people close. Be the person who shows up. We have no idea how much of a difference we can make in someone’s day❤️ by @rachishere4it

This is what community looks like in real time.

It’s giving kids access to safe spaces, mentorship, movement, and possibility… the kinds of programs that can truly shape a life. I know that firsthand.
