Preparing for Eye See You at @thistemporaryspace

“The works in this exhibition approach the eye as witness, portal, mirror, and threshold. Together they consider intimacy and surveillance, visibility and concealment, recognition and reflection. They ask: How do we look? How are we seen? What remains unseen? What looks back?
In an age saturated with images, Eye See You invites a slower encounter. It offers a space to consider seeing as an act of attention, presence, and relation, reminding us that every gaze has the power to shape both the observer and the observed.” by @racocosolo

Eye See You
July 11 to August 8

For Eye See You, we invited artists through an open call to consider seeing as more than vision. What emerged is a collection of works that approach seeing and perception through memory, the body, relationships, illusion, and attention. Together, they remind us that seeing is an active act that we are constantly participating in.

This exhibition brings together work by Avani Patel @unique_avani, Betty Kim @bettykimphoto, Ezra Wube, Hunter Mathews @huntkats, Fernando Lara @fernandoluizlara, Leah Thornton @adult_braces, Lindsay Liang @lindrawsstudio, Monica Hamilton @moonicahamilton, Rachel Cohen @racocosolo, Rhonda Weppler @weppler_and_mahovsky, Rory Torstensson @roryelizabethh, Sahar Alizadeh @saharalizadehstudio, Scott McMahon @scottmcmahonphoto, and Katina Bitsicas @katinabitsicas .

Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, July 11, from 3 to 6 PM. RSVP link in bio. All are welcome.

We look forward to seeing you in the forest.
