Party is the solution. Sauce whisperer @hopburnsblack. Say yes to another excess @floorisyoursmargate. They pulled me back in @1btnradio

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday's @1btnradio show is now up on Mixcloud and features a fantastic interview with our next Floor is Yours guests @wrekinhavoc. Such a pleasure to chat with Stu & Rich about the new @rotationsoundsystem compilation, the joys of Rotation Garden Party, the origin story of their monster tune Shine A Light and what we can expect when they hit @margateartsclub next month. (Also a couple of forthcoming releases 🧐)

We also go a bit coconuts for the new @skyrager compilation, reveal Jen's 70s heavyweight boxing obsession, send belated heavenly birthday wishes to Freddie Mercury and play a bunch of incredible tunes we've been dying to share with you.

Have a listen, then jump straight on @outsavvy and buy a ticket to the gig on 17 October ♥️ taken in Margate, Kent by @radiowammo

One for the diary!

Following on the heels of incredible parties with Conrad Idjut and Red Rack'em earlier this year, Floor Is Yours have now tempted legendary diggers Wrekin Havoc down to the Thanet coast for an autumn extravaganza on Sat 17 Oct.

Creating some of the best Balearic-disco productions and edits out there (in 2025, their EP for Talking Drums, featuring the magnificent Shine A Light, went stratospheric after receiving heavy support from DJ Harvey in the greatest clubs across the globe), the Havocs have also been barnstorming the UK's most discerning festivals such as their residency at Rotation Garden Party and Wildwood, with their sets routinely described by dancers as the best of the weekend.

Over the years they've shared the billing with the likes of Idjut Boys, Mark Seven, Make A Dance, Nancy Noise, Luke Una, Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, Bill Brewster, Richard Sen and Piers Harrison. These days they favour a handful of carefully chosen appearances each year - and Floor Is Yours at MAC is one of these.

Crate diggers extraordinaire, Stu and Rich will be reaching deep into their vaults for this one, with a four-hour set that digs deep into their collections - expect the chugged-out, the bugged-out, the weird, the wild, the warm and the wonky… Unshazamable? Probably. Dancefloor havoc? Guaranteed. This is one you really won't want to miss.

If one exceptional DJ/producer act at FIY this autumn wasn't enough (in the form of the phenomenal @wrekinhavoc on 17 Oct), we've only gone and added another one... Live and direct from the Netherlands, one of our favourite producers of all time, @pete_blaker - legendary edit king, supreme Prince fan and iconic sonic architect - making his UK debut right here in sunny Margate 💜💜💜

We dare you to find a DJ Harvey set that doesn't feature at least one bespoke edit from Pete and you can bet all your favourite DJs have followed suit with one of Pete's many releases for the likes of Hot Biscuit Recordings, Razor'N'Tape, Musica de Baleares, Magic Wand and more.

Pete's work has soundtracked so many moments in our lives too - I mean, we love this guy's work so much we named both this night and our 1BTN radio show after his iconic Arthur Adams edit... Pete has a way of reaching into your soul and grabbing on to your heart. It's a true honour to host his first ever UK date.

We hope you'll join us at both of our amazing autumn parties at the glorious @margateartsclub:

🎉 Wrekin Havoc - Sat 17 Oct
🪩 Pete Blaker - Sat 14 Nov

Early birds for both events available now. See you on the floor (twice) ♥️ by @radiowammo

Wow. WHAT A NIGHT! 🎉🎉🎉

Sending the biggest thanks and love to everyone who made it happen on Saturday - our very special guest Danny @therealredrackem who gave us an absolute masterclass in how to work a dancefloor & kept us dancing nonstop for four hours of 100% vinyl bangers; Luke & Will from @margateartsclub/@artsclubradio_margate for being awesome; all of you incredible dancers; Jo Jo & team on the bar for keeping so many dancing bodies hydrated; Glenn @radiowammo for an exceptional warm-up set to get us all in the mood; and all those amazing Dolly fans who turned up early doors and danced their hearts out to our Dolly Parton tribute. Love to see a full dancefloor at 7pm!

It really was an exceptional evening - here's to all who sailed in her ♥️

We can't wait to return to MAC for another Floor Is Yours on Sat 17 October for another session to blow the roof off - this time with the mighty @wrekinhavoc gracing the decks. Early birds are available now, see you on the floor... xx taken in Margate Arts Club by @radiowammo

Loads of amusements for you in this month's @1btnradio show, which has just been uploaded by Leggy & the crew to Mixcloud. Is there any better way to start a show than with the Bergerac theme? No. Not so coincidentally, that's also the name of the record label run by our special guest @therealredrackem, who joins us on the show for an interview ahead of joining us in the booth at the mighty, mighty, mighty @margateartsclub this Saturday. Yes!

We also showcase two beautiful recent releases from Aotearoa-New Zealand c/o @romi.wrights and LEAO, we celebrate 40 years of @paulsimonofficial's Graceland with my most loved 12" ever (thanks @toddterje) and we also pay a heartfelt tribute to @optimoespacio's Keith McIvor, aka JD Twitch, who along with Jonnie Wilkes, probably had more influence on my musical mindset than anyone else. It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since he passed... Thank you for the music, Keith - you loved our ears... - Jen xx

Loads more lovely stuff too, cheers to all the artists ♥️

Just posted our latest @floorisyoursmargate set to Mixcloud - another excursion down @thesundeckmargate, although the weather gods definitely didn't play ball this time, with the first cold, grey and blustery day seen in weeks! 😢 Thanks to all who braved the wind and joined us on the beach, you legends. (The tech gods were also having some fun as the recording shat itself an hour before the end... Anyway...) We kick off with lovely dub styles before going all over the damn show and ending up on a big old Latino tip 🎉

Make sure you check out our co-conspirator @kaybar007's 4-6pm set once she uploads it on her return from We Out Here too - a wonderful summery soundtrack for the only properly sunny bit of the day! Thanks for joining us, Kay 😎 xx taken in Margate, Kent by @radiowammo
