My poor Highlander has been sitting in my driveway collecting leaves for a month now. Mostly due to the inefficiency of the USPS. Parts that used to take a few days to arrive are taking 2-3 weeks. Anyways I pulled the fuel rail, installed the new injector, slapped it back together and I now have a misfire on #4 cylinder. I’m already $700 into it, so what’s another $180! Here’s to another 3 weeks of waiting on the mail and riding on 2 wheels!😭 by @radventures44

WTF is going on here?😫😆 by @radventures44

Typical cats, always in the way when you are doing something. This is my $3000+ stray Keo. She wandered up one morning about 9 or 10 years ago when I was having my coffee and she has been with me ever since. I’m glad she chose me. I wouldn’t trade her for the world. She had a little mishap last week with one of the neighborhood junkyard cats and had to have an abscess drained, that’s why she is shaved on her backside. Time to hit a little dirt before the rain comes back! by @radventures44

This is the Caddo River under a beautiful red sky during the Spring. The last part of the video is where she is at now. Thankfully today we are getting some much needed rain. Hopefully she will be up above the old bridge remnants before too long. We have had quite the dry spell here in Central Arkansas. by @radventures44

Demonstrating my compact, self contained gold cleanup system that I put together. First off is “The Boss” mini sluice made by Prospectors Dream. It features their patented “Dream Mat” which is unlike anything else on the market. This setup is powered with clean, renewable and sustainable energy provided by my Jackery solar generator. I slightly modified a mortar tub so I am able to recycle my water in between sampling and panning. The tub sits atop a collapsible aluminum Coleman camp stove stand, made in the 60s, and weighs less than a tall can of Lite. The pan seen here is a Garrett Gold Trap. It’s a bit more compact than my Garrett Super Sluice or my Minelab pans. Check out how the black sand (Magnetite) sticks to the Neodymium magnet! Everything fits nice and securely in a 6 gallon bucket that doubles as a seat so I can enjoy an ice cold RC Cola (the official soda of “old fashioned” people like myself.😆) I like to keep things simple, no nonsense, and light enough to be easily packed into remote areas, where water is limited, and only accessible by foot or my trusty trail motorcycle. #prospectingforgold #notagetrichquickscheme #consistencypaysoff by @radventures44

I restored this entire house and now I’m getting ready to start restoring some of my grandfathers old tools. Starting with this grinder. He gave me this thing when I was 8. Yup, you read that right…..8!😅Stuff like that happens when you were raised by the “Silent Generation.” Probably one reason why I am so old fashioned. I couldn’t have asked for a better father figure when I was growing up. by @radventures44

Well after an afternoon of cussing subpar engineering, making modifications, and stashing wires…….LET THERE BE LIGHT! Now I am ready to hit the woods and chase werewolves, probably armadillos and possums, but werewolves sounds way cooler!😆😂 by @radventures44

Mocked up the new lights on das motorrad this afternoon. I’m going to wire them up after I finish my lunch. Since the deer honkies are out in the woods, I have to ride at night. The next yokel that bright lights me is going home with burned retinas!😆 by @radventures44

This is my highbanker sluice from Royal Manufacturing. I finally got a chance to put it together and run some samples from my former claim through it. I replaced the carpet with Sluicefox miners moss. My Klein heavy duty scissors cut right through it like butter! The highbanker’s dual pumps can be powered by a solar generator, gas generator, standard 110v outlet, power inverter hooked to a car, DeWalt cordless tool battery, and a 12v car battery. If I want to get all McGyver, I can also power it with my motorcycle. I prefer the Jackery Solar Generator with a 200v portable solar panel. Tomorrow I plan on panning out the concentrates and hopefully seeing something shiny in my Garrett gold pan. This is a bit of a long one as it took most of my afternoon to film and edit. Leave a like if you like it, or comment “this sucks” if you think it sucks.🤣
Shoutout to #royalmanufacturing for building an awesome, affordable highbanker, #sluicefox for making the best miners moss known to man, #jackery for providing the lightweight, clean and dependable power source, and #kleintoolsusa for making quality hand tools that I can always count on. Any representatives from these companies can DM me and I would be more than happy to demonstrate and promote whatever you throw at me. by @radventures44

During the early 1960s, my grandfather was assigned to SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe. This is what we know as NATO today. This was when it was located just outside of Paris, France. Later it was moved to Belgium. During his tenure, he photographed a lot of high ranking Generals, world leaders, and even President John F. Kennedy. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower is even in the mix. Can you spot him? I am happy to have these historic photographs that were taken by my late grandfather. He made sure to leave them in good hands. by @radventures44

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of visiting the historic mining town of Oatman, Az. After touring the town, I stopped by the Oatman Hotel Restaurant and Bar. There has to be nearly a million dollars hanging on those walls. Travelers sign the bills and then staple them either to the wall or the ceiling. I left 2, one for myself, and one for SPC. Brad Davis, the only Soldier on my team that I was unable to bring home from Iraq. I had the best burger that I have had in quite a while and a couple of ice cold Lites before I pointed the Toyota eastward. I plan on returning sometime next year and spending a couple of days there. by @radventures44

After taking this spider pot back down to bare iron, it had to be washed with mild soap, thoroughly dried in a 200 degree oven for 15 minutes and coated with Crisco. This Dutch Oven went 4 rounds @ 450 degrees before it was completely done. Now she’s ready for another 50 years of service.
