On Friday night we had to make the incredibly difficult and sad decision to say goodbye to our beloved Lottie. She gave us the most amazing and wonderful 11 years and was truly the most beautiful soul. People who knew Lottie know that she was never the most well behaved doggy, but was a one of a kind character and I know she left her paw print on so many people’s hearts. 💙
I’ve included a clip of John as he was writing the dog song, playing it to Lottie on the bed. It meant so much to me at the time that he had become so close with her that he wanted to devote some of his music to her, it means even more to me now that she had been immortalised in his work.
Oh my Lottie, you were more than a pet to me, you were my best friend and my little furry sister, our house just doesn’t feel like a home without you in it. I didn’t think I’d be writing any of this so soon, I thought we still had a few more years to share. I miss you so much 💙 by @rae.co.uk
