Over the course of my senior year I have been scoring and sound designing David Wiesner’s wordless picture book “Flotsam”, a book that I grew up with. I hope that this is the first of a series of immersive picture books.

On April 11th I had the chance to show my work live alongside @sofiamalvinni @elisajeon @theodora_bowne. The goal of the show was to be as immersive as possible, so I mixed in 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos, designed the set, and had help with the amazing lighting by @benjaminckitchen.

Here are some of my favorite moments from the shows. The full 35 minute edited show will be posted on my website and on YouTube fairly soon, while I’m currently working on publishing rights to release the music on streaming platforms :)

Left Of The Station EP is out on Bandcamp!

A huge thank you to @the.jffj.journal for bringing me on to score the film and do post-sound. Another huge thank you to @ryancamastral for guiding me through writing a jazz chart and co-composing it, and @timbreknight for doing the sound design and helping with the full mix.

ALL ABOARD!!! ✍🏽💌🚉
A short film for the poets, the yearners, and the public transit commuters. My upcoming short film, Left of the Station, tells the story of a college couple who reflects on their relationship after observing other people in love on a train. After spending nearly two full years on editing, visual effects, sound design, color, and an original score, I am proud to announce that Left of the Station will be playing at a local venue near you in select cities through the Bay Area, Central Valley, and LA regions this Fall!

Another insane semester. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it🙏🫶

Some things I’m extra proud of:
1.) Developing my senior/passion project with my favorite childhood author. (April 11th btw, soft launch lol)

2.) Heard my mix in a theatre for the first time.

3.) Worked on music and sound for 10 short films this year, after working on nada last year.

4.) Getting a better understanding of jazz, still have a long way to go though.

5.) Visiting and meeting so many friends and cool new people from around the U.S. and world. by @rafeaxne

Thank you to everyone who guided and encouraged me this semester.

The biggest shout out to @sffilm, the makers team, and the FilmHouse residents for making the SF film scene such a warm and inviting space. And of course to all of my friends and mentors at @sfconservmusic for pushing my music and sound skills to the max. Til’ next time :)
