✈️ A SMALL RUBBER SEAL CHANGED XM598’S STORY Avro Vulcan XM598 was selected to lead the first Black Buck raid in 1982. But just minutes after take-off, a cockpit window seal failed. Unable to maintain cabin pressure, XM598 had no option but to turn back. That was far from the end of its contribution. The Gladiator was the RAF’s last biplane fighter and takes its place among some of the most famous aircraft in aviation history.
