As we officially open our doors to the public for business today I am filled with so many emotions- excitement, fear, happiness, anxiety….. but most of all, GRATITUDE.

Gratitude to God for helping me bring this little idea I had in mind to life 7 years ago when I began my culinary journey, and nurturing it into so much more.

Gratitude to my family and friends for holding my hand throughout this process and honestly being the best support system in the ways they knew how best to.

Gratitude to my husband, co-founder and purpose partner whom I have the privilege to do life and business with.

Canvas is an intimate events and dining space, but it’s so much more than that. From our cocktail room (which opens today at 5pm), to our dining room and the garden…… every single element in that space was carefully thought out and I would like to encourage each and everyone one of you to come and experience it.

Our space, Your Canvas.

We cannot wait to host you.

Ps: please follow us @canvas.cs

IREAYOMIPOSI

365 days of being your mama. There’s nothing I would ever change. You are my biggest blessing. I love being your mummy.

I only knew 3 things about this party:

1. The day
2. The outfit I was wearing
3. The menu (only because I insisted on curating it myself 🤭)

Everything else? A complete surprise.

Best birthday yet. 10/10. No notes.

A gentle reminder,

Your current reality isn’t the limit of what’s possible.

Keep believing in the things you can’t explain yet.

Three versions later and we’re finally at the fun part. 🍨

Are you team:

- Original
- Brown Butter
- Extra Spice

I’ve picked my favourite, but I’d love to know which one you’d reach for.

I’ve made Tigernut Ice Cream more times than I can count, but apparently I woke up and decided I needed two more versions of it.

Do I have a favourite yet? Maybe.
Am I overthinking it? Probably.
Will I keep going anyway? Absolutely.

Let’s see how it turns out.

Which do you think will be your fave?

Some days it’s client meetings. Some days it’s recipe testing. Most days it’s a little bit of everything.

A quick Q&A as CANVAS turns 2.

Safe to say i really underestimated having to manage people but that’s a whole conversation for another time 😅
