"I pressed on" ... 💯 ... and I will keep pressing on.

After the recent findings from the testing and assessments done with the Neuro-Rehabilitation Specialist I saw at the end of February, to determine the full extent of my brain injury, it was a lot to process. I had a few good cries and have taken the time to get myself mentally prepared for the road ahead, at least as far as the rehabilitation I know I need now. I'll share more on that later.

For now, I thought this quote really fit with where I'm at. I also feel like this new song by my friend
@erickane_ is perfect for how I'm feeling.

I'm looking forward to my healing journey with a renewed spirit. I have the best specialist on my case now, who will give me the best chance to improve, and hopefully even fully recover. I'm not ready to give up yet.

Our brains are magnificent, mysterious and fascinating things ... and science in the area of concussions, brain injuries, and recovery is constantly growing.

Onwards and upwards.

I just wanted to share my "basking in the glow" selfie from the day after filming earlier this week.

It's been a while since I made an actual post on my social media pages. I've had two incredible opportunities happen this week that I wanted to share.

On Tuesday, I got to do a small background role in the pilot for the upcoming #renegadefever series. I had a very tiny, non-speaking role as "Streetwalker #1". 😂 It was an absolute blast!

Then, today, I was asked last minute to be a keynote speaker for "The Young Learns Africa Foundation." Their youth have spent the last two months learning about Indigenous people, and today was their celebration to acknowledge "Indigenous Resiliency." It was an absolute honour to be asked to speak.

I'll share more about both of these events in my next posts, once I'm done creating my reels ... Hopefully, that will be in the next day or two.

For now ... Here's my happy face. 😊

Not my usual post! 😂 However, I was very surprised to find Gas at the Costco Business Center in Edmonton is at 133.9 cents/Litre!! I was expecting around 1.41 to 1.42 cents. Just thought maybe others in the area might like to know. 😎

Anyone else seeing lower Gas prices??

If I'm a Silver Fox for Halloween ... Is that considered "Species Appropriation"?? 🧐

Things that make you go ... "Hmmmmm". 🤔

What are your thoughts??

Caught this Pretty Little Lady hitching a ride today. 🐞

I thought it was a perfect way to also share this new song from my friend @erickane_ for those who haven't heard it yet!!

What's funny is this is like the THIRD Lady Bug I have found crawling on or around me since yesterday!

They are so cute!! I need to look up the meaning of Lady bugs again ... Maybe it's a message from the Universe?

Plus ... This is the closest thing to any road-tripping side-kick Luv Bug in my life. 😂

Anyway!! Have you heard Eric's new song yet?? Share this out so other people can find it too!!

(PS: Yes I misspelled "Luv Bug" on the video. Sorry!)

What a beautiful Full Harvest Moon tonight!!! 😍

Watch the whole video to see the best shots as the sky changed from pinks and purples and night set in.

We had clear skies, and I happened to be on my way home just as the sun was setting in the west, and the moon was rising in the east!

I stopped a few times to take some pictures, and for the first time ever, the zoom on my camera allowed me to take the BEST close up pictures I have ever captured of the moon!!

Did anyone else watch the moonrise tonight???

Did you get any pictures???

I absolutely LOVE watching the night skies, but especially on nights with a full moon. 🥰

Anyone else a moon freak like me?? Let me know in the comments!

Sometimes my thoughts are perfectly paired to a song. I thought I'd share them, along with some recent sunset photos that I took.

What song has really spoken to you recently? I'd love to know!

🚨 WARNING! Check under your engine covers friends!! It's fall and the squirrels are busy!! 🤣

Also, maybe don't park for extended periods of time, right next to pine trees. 🙈🧐

Yesterday, I went out to check my Mum's van's fluid levels before she hit the road, and this is what we found under the engine cover that I noticed was wobbly and not secured ...

We laughed so hard! It was the cherry 🍒 on top of the wild and crazy ride Mom has had with her "new" van. First. A blown transmission in the first week. Followed by a blown motor and subsequent replacement with a rebuilt motor within just over a week later ... and now this ... 🤯

At this point ... all we can do is laugh ... and CLEAN.

We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening picking jam-packed pinecones out of every little crevice, vacuuming out as much of the tiny left overs as possible, then cleaning, vacuuming and washing windows of both our vehicles ...

Which led me to find that mysteriously my own car was missing most of it's coolant ... when I had all the fluids replaced or serviced recently ... so now to figure out if it's a leak or major problem, or if the shop simply missed filling it at the service. 🤔

It's always an adventure around here.

But, Mum is all set for her car-camping trip with my sister now. That's what matters. 🥰

Have any of you had to de-pinecone your engines before??? 🤣
