POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I'm grateful for and humbled by the entirety of the path I've been tracing throughout my life. 🙏

I recognise that all of my work, training, and play...in medicine, anthropology, ethnography, health sciences, my research, writing, teaching, the running, skiing, climbing, travel all over the world, time with and learning from Elders and others in community across the world, ceremony, and my ever-growing family is all connected. One does not stand alone without all the others. And, it's been a wild and awesome adventure learning how to be a better relative to everyone I can - connecting it all together.

I feel grateful and inspired that I am more and more able to intertwine, braid the varied trails into one path. And, to understand the path more clearly.

It's funny but fitting, to me, that the tag line of The North Face whom I was sponsored by for a decade in my travels and galavanting in the mountains is 'Never Stop Exploring.' That's always felt like the way to carry on. 🥳😘

I am looking forward to 2024 and all that it holds. Last year was the most incredible year of my life for growth and adventure, but it was simultaneously painful and heartbreaking.

I've learned a lot about attachment and detachment, as well as trusting my inner knowing more than the empty promises of snake charmers.

Happiness is an inside job. I know I've said it before, but I'm saying it again.

No matter what anyone else promises, or whether their intentions are good or bad, when I don't listen to my own inner knowing, and the whispers of warnings or promptings from Spirit ... I suffer ... and then how long I suffer is also up to me.

I can't control anyone else's behaviour, but I am absolutely responsible for my own. Period.

When people do things that ultimately hurt me, all I can do is learn from it. I can assess what my own role was, then decide whether or not I did or didn't do something that maybe I could choose to do better or differently moving forward. Either way, I will do my best to act more consciously from there.

All I know is that I was born into a world that is hurting, and that seems at times to be very lost. I do believe that each of us is a sacred being born with gifts and a light to share with the world, so I'm going to do my best to discover and share MY gifts and MY light.

This year is going to just be more of me following where I feel the Creator is leading me and doing my best to live from my heart.

I wish you all a blessed 2024. May love guide you and remind you that you are a Sacred Being too.

Sometimes I think I just need a coloured smokey filter to spice up my life ... and to make my glasses pop. 😉 Plus, it's been a minute since I've posted a new selfie.

This concussion recovery has been no joke. Every day is a challenge, and I still don't feel like I'm completely attached to my body. It's been over 3 months since my accident, and I'm nowhere near feeling like myself yet.

I have to consciously work hard every single day to be present with myself, and to remind myself to just keep doing my best ... and that means I sometimes have to say no to things I really want to say yes too.

On the days I start to feel down ... the best pick me up is to dress up, even if I'm not able to move further than my couch afterwards ... Which is why I took this selfie. I just wanted to feel better.

Some days are just harder than others ... but I'm grateful for every single day that I am still alive, to be able to create my life and work towards my dreams ... Even if it takes me longer than I would like. 😊

Anyway ... I hope you all have a great weekend.

Just a little behind the scenes of my tea creating process. Every step in this tea preparation is done in the spirit of love, and infused with heartfelt wishes of health and happiness, for every single person who may some day enjoy a cup of this spicy golden mix.

Reviews from happy new customers are already coming in!!

"This is amazing!"
"Wow! This tastes so good!"
"This is better than any similar ingredient commercial mix I've tried!"
"This is the best Golden Tea I have ever tried!"
"I can buy more right??"
"This is incredible!"
"I love your tea! I'm telling everybody about it!"
"My wife went crazy over this tea when I gave it to her!"
"I'm going to give this tea for Christmas gifts this year!"

✨️✨️✨️

I've spent over a decade mixing batch after batch, tweaking the amounts of each ingredient for my very own special recipe, to finally reach this final product.

I have also played with it in various alternate recipes for hot teas, lattes, coffee, and mochas ... so it is a tried and true concoction that I am excited to finally share.

For years I have experimented. First for myself, and then with family and friends ... so every time I hear people say "Mmm-mmm!" ... It's music to my ears.

*During this soft-launch trial phase, this is currently only available for pick-up within the greater Edmonton, Alberta (Treaty Six Territory) area. More locations will be added as opportunities arise. DM for details!

It's kind of crazy, but my hair colour appears to be growing back in with all my new hair growth!! I don't know how I feel about that yet, because I truly love my silver hair!! It's been a total surprise to me, but I possibly might have figured out why it's happening.

Happy International Son's Day. 🥰

I am reposting this today on Instagram (5 days late), because my reel somehow never properly posted the other day. It's frozen for some reason. I thought it just might be a temporary glitch on IG, but the video is still not playing, even though it's working just fine on Facebook. 🥴

Anyway, I made this reel from a previous photo compilation, with a few updates to honour my son. I am so proud to be his mom. It's been quite the ride these past 24 years.

He has not had an easy journey in this life. Witnessing what he has had to endure has taught me the meaning of love. He teaches me every day to be a better human.

Enjoy this little tribute to one of the best humans I know.

Have you heard this song before??

I just came across this song for the first time, and I feel like it reflects exactly where I'm at in my life.

No matter what circumstances arise, and regardless of who comes or goes from our lives, we must never forget to love ourselves.🌹

I know that sometimes that's easier said than done. It's a practice.

If you're finding it hard to fully love yourself yet, then just start by taking care of yourself. Take it one step at a time. One day at a time.

XO ~ Rainbow

✨️Magic happens when women gather.

I had an incredible evening over a beautiful dinner, outside, under the full blue supermoon, with some fascinating, talented and beautiful women last night.

Sometimes I need to pinch myself that this is my life now ... Surrounded by so many powerful and strong women ... Building connections, friendships and community ... Celebrating new chapters.

These kinds of gatherings give me hope in this crazy world that sometimes feels really dark ... Women are rising. We want a better world. We are finding eachother ... and wow is it ever powerful when we gather. Magic truly happens when we do. ✨️
