POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Friends, I’ve been given a microphone in a bar and permission to talk about Frankenstein. This is more or less what tenure was supposed to lead to.

Join me October 28 for Frankie Goes to Hollywood, a trip through the strange afterlives of Mary Shelley’s monster. We’ll follow his borrowed body parts into Edward Scissorhands, The Iron Giant, superheroes, musicals, and queer cult cinema. Hollywood has spent two centuries taking this story apart and sewing it into something else. Occasionally, it even changes the bolts.

This is one of my favorite things about teaching film: that moment when a movie you’ve loved for years suddenly reveals a weird relative.

Come have a drink with me. Bring a friend who cries at The Iron Giant. We’ll understand each other.

⚡ Wednesday, October 28
Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar, Denver
1999 Chestnut Place
Doors at 5 PM • Talk at 6:30 PM
Advance tickets: $13.50

Tim Curry died this week at eighty, which means somewhere in the cosmos Dr. Frank-N-Furter has finally returned to Transsexual, Transylvania.

For Idol Worship Tarot, we made Frank the Judgement card: resurrection, revelation, and rapture.

I wrote a tribute to Tim Curry—and to the strange little movie that bombed, rose from the dead, and has spent fifty years carrying the rest of us away.

St. Frank-N-Furter, Holy Spirit of Rapture.

Don’t dream it. Be it. Tribute at andymight.substack.com by @rainbowcultorg

🦇 ARKHAM: EPISODE TWO—IT’S A DICKENS.

The sequel to our award-winning ARKHAM A$$YLUM is officially on the books. This week, the cast gathered for our first table read of:

🎄 BAT-HUMBUG! An XXXMas Carol 🎄

Last year, Rainbow Cult dragged the Bat before a jury of his queerest enemies—and won the 2025 Denver Fringe Audience Choice Award for Ensemble Performance.

This Christmas, we’re doing it again. But Batman isn’t on trial this time.

He’s being haunted.

Five performances: December 3, 5 & 6
At our new home, @theclocktowercabaret

Mark your calendars. Tickets and further visitations coming soon.

In space, no one can hear you ask to speak with Human Resources. 🚀👽

Huge thanks to Haus of Other for inviting me to Nebula and letting me live out my Veronica Cartwright-in-Alien fantasy. An evening of spectacular costumes, space-themed performances, and wonderfully strange company at the People’s Building in Aurora.

Special thanks to Gary, our resident Xenomorph, for bringing it all together. Gary was also one of the founding members of Rainbow Cult, and it’s a joy to see him continuing to create spaces where art, community, and unabashed weirdness thrive. 💚

Movie nights under the stars. 🌙🎬 Thank you to everyone who joined us for another free outdoor cult classic at Champagne Tiger. There’s something magical about watching a beloved film with a patio full of strangers who somehow end up laughing, cheering, and quoting every line together.

A huge thank you to our incredible host, Evelyn Evermore, to Champagne Tiger for the beautiful space, and to Novel Uptown for keeping everyone fueled with free popcorn.

We’ll be back every third Friday this summer with another secret screening. Bring a blanket, bring your friends, and we’ll see you at sundown.

Last night I suited up as an astronaut for NEBULA, an immersive art party created by my friend Gary @garyadrianrandall and the brilliant folks at Haus of Other @hausofother . 🚀✨

The People’s Building was transformed into a sci-fi playground filled with drag, DJs, live music, interactive art, a local vendor market, and enough futuristic fashion to make Earth feel like the strange planet. Beyond the spectacle, the evening also raised money and awareness for immigrant advocacy, with proceeds supporting the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN). 🌌👨‍🚀 taken in The People's Building by @rainbowcultorg

Two fabulous, sold out nights of Rocky Horror Picture Show: Summer Beach Party! 🌊👄

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the weekend unforgettable, and to our incredible special guest, Sir Throbbin Hood, for bringing the perfect dose of FrankenHoff energy to the stage.

We love this weird little community we’ve built together. Until the next Time Warp, Rainbow Cultists. 💋🏖️ by @rainbowcultorg

Ten shows. 🌊💋

This weekend marked my 10th show at Meow Wolf Denver with Rainbow Cult, and I’m still amazed we get to play in one of the most imaginative spaces in the city.

For our Rocky Horror Picture Show Summer Beach Party, the film wrapped all four walls while live performers, shadow cast, and audience turned the whole room into an immersive celebration. Getting to share the stage with the incomparable Sir Throbbin Hood as “FrankenHoff” made it even better.

Grateful to Meow Wolf Denver for believing in what Rainbow Cult creates, and to Colorado’s Elusive Ingredient for another unforgettable collaboration. Here’s to the next strange, joyful adventure. 🏖️⚡
