What happens when you stay devoted to a practice in a particular space?
You create a sanctuary✨
I have been teaching at @karunika_spiritualcenter for 3 years now. I can feel the web of support the space, the women who return to it and myself holding it have co- created in the field…
For the last 2 months, as new women step into the space, their soul weeps tears of remeberance, safety and connection…
Without me saying or doing a thing… the field is so strong they instantly feel it… they instantly soften in it… they instantly melt their bracing into belonging…
There is such power in staying… power in repetition… power in community…. Power in devotion…
And every Monday and every Friday, I get to bask in it.

A shift has happened.
Last week I was a part of big training on trauma. There was around 80 of us. All well established practitioners, therapists, body workers. All there to deepen our understanding for the sake of serving our clients better.
At the end of day 4, we were all exhausted. The words were not coming. Tiredness turned into brain fog and yet there was a nudge from the leaders to continue practicing.
Until our group expressed how we felt clearly.
The space to feel what’s needed in the field was created and much of what was shared was:
I am tired but I can push through
I am exhausted but I don’t want to miss out this learning opportunity
I am wiped but I am happy to go with the flow for the sake of the group…

When my turn came I simply said: I can see myself in all of you, I can recognize the eager learner and good student in me and the pleasing team player in me. However, I have learned that the cost of over- extending my body’s boundaries is higher than missing one learning opportunity.

The energy in the space shifted and suddenly everyone started reorienting towards what was really felt and true in them.
The learning was still there. It was just different from what we expected…

And I saw myself so many times this week acting as the woman I dreamt of becoming:
Grounded and daring
Clear and expressed in my boundaries
Confident in my capacity
Curious and asking questions with no hesitation
Being inspired with those that would previously intimidate me
Connecting and withdrawing with ease…
Less interested in appearing a certain way and more interested in being ok with myself.

I could recognize all of my old patterns and chose differently.

I felt like the “she that was always there” but often hidden under armors of self protection…
They are no longer needed.
And that is so darn cool!

The work is working😂🥰✨
