This gorgeous Frankenstein pin 🖤 I couldn’t resist this one after loving the movie 🤭 I dearly hope we get more horror pins! I have at least one on my DISO list that I have no hope of ever getting 😖 I wish the aftermarket for pins wasn’t so wild 🥲

🍂 Thousand Autumns 🍂 After finishing Peerless I dove back into Thousand Autumns (I had tried the first volume but didn’t finish but after Peerless became a favorite I tried again) and I’ve really enjoyed it! Shen Qiao is easily one of my favorite danmei characters, his unwavering commitment to his morals but also patient learning and acceptance of the broader world is just so 👌 While Yan Wushi drives me crazy in a “gosh I begrudgingly love you so much” kind of way 😂 I still have the last volume to read which I keep putting off bc I’ll have no more Meng Xi Shi to read after it 😔 but before the end of year for sure!! I’ve picked up some TA merch recently including this stunning pin (absolutely in love 💛) and this shikishi board illustration (again I loveee) which is so perfect 😭 Shen Qiao observing the bustling world while Yan Wushi watches Shen Qiao— mmm perfect 🥰

The Reaper and the Waiting 👻🖤 This was such an unexpected find at the bookstore. Immediately I was blown away by the gorgeous art! It’s a oneshot that’s a bit heart wrenching but will soothe one’s heart with the happy ending 🥹 If you’re looking for a oneshot with beautiful art about dedicated and enduring love I definitely recommend trying this one 🙌

A little shelfie today 💚 Featuring my dragon age shelves, which is mostly Solas of course 🤭 I’m still so saddened that I lost my playthrough of DAO which I was like 2/3rds of the way through 😭 I had been planning to replay all the games back to back but I’m trying to motivate myself to replay all that DAO content again after losing it 😔 But I will likely start up another DAI later this year instead 😅 I love spending the holidays playing through DAI as it’s become a tradition 😌 So even if my full DA playthrough hasn’t worked out yet I’m not gonna deprive myself of some more DAI 🤭

How pretty are these blind box BJDs 🥰 These are from a set called “A Thousand Years of Romance and Beauty” 🌷 Such stunning quality I was really blown away ✨ I did my best to get the poses I was hoping for but the dolls are quite stiff so this was the best I could achieve 🙈 So just imagine their hands are touching proper 😭 I love their additional to my danmei shelf, their colors go so well with my set up there 🥰 I’m hoping to pick up a few more if I can find the ones I want without having to chance at a blind box 🙈

I recently had the urge to collect more of the Record of Lodoss Was manga and so I hunted to find what I could of the Chronicles of the Heroic Knight manga 🕵️ I was able to get the first five volumes but still trying to find the sixth and a not-outrageous price 😩 The content of the manga is nothing new but the art is just so beautiful and I love seeing the story in a different medium 🥹 I have such a soft spot for Spark and 🤲💙 and the artist draws him so well 😭 Record of Lodoss War is one of my favorite animes (I think Sailor Moon is really the only other one 🙈) which says a lot since I rarely watch anime (or TV shows in general) 😳 All the series I watch are bc I watch them with others and I don’t have anyone locally to watch anime with so I don’t really 😭 All that to say everyone should watch Record of Lodoss War!! The original series is short and really worth the watch. The follow up series is mid but I personally love it 😌 so as much I enjoy The Chronicles of the Heroic Knight I don’t really recommend it 😆

Black Blood 🖤 Another oneshot I reread recently and easily a favorite of mine 😌 I have a weakness for android/cyborg romances 🤭 so it’s no surprise I enjoyed this one. It’s also by Hayate Kuku who I’ve read before and loved 😌 I’m so excited we’re getting more of their works! I read a bunch of their manga ages ago so I can’t remember what I liked 🫣 but I’m really looking forward to trying them again 🙂‍↕️ I reread another duology from them recently which I loved more now than I did when I first read it 🤔 It’s interesting how our tastes slightly change over time— stuff I wouldn’t enjoy in the past I enjoy now and visa versa. Have you noticed your tastes changing over time? 🤔

Mistakenly Saving the Villain 🥀 First off the special edition goodies are just gorgeous for this volume! I’m so enamored with the art on these art cards 😍 I recently finished this first volume and while I did like it I don’t think I’ll keep reading the series 🤔 We get some instalove vibes (which is a trope opposite my favorite— slow burn) and like a love triangle kind of thing being set up? Which is also not a trope I’m fond of 😭 And I didn’t really warm to either of the main characters 😖 (I liked Yue Wuhuan but Song Qingshi was a bit too oblivious/naive) So I think the cons outweighed the pros for me on this one 🤔 But I do see how it could be really enjoyed by others! It just wasn’t clicking with me personally enough that I’d keep reading but again, I did generally enjoy the read— the writing flowed well and overall set up was intriguing 🙂‍↕️ Have you read this one or is it on your TBR? I’m really enjoying trying a bunch of different danmeis and discovering which ones I love 😌💕

I recently stumbled upon this gorgeous edition of Gawain and the Green Knight and I had to scoop it up 🤲 Though I already knew the tale it was the first time reading an expanded telling of it. Ahh and I loved it 💚 This was well-written and just overall an enjoyable little read. I haven’t read other Arthurian Legends but this really warmed my heart towards Gawain. And are we going to gloss over the delectable relationship between Gawain and the Green Knight? I think not 🤔 like good god, I do understand the whole set up of their agreement but Gawain passing on kisses to the Lord is like whoa oh well then 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ sigh~ just remembering all the details has me swooning. It does make for a fantastically alluring relationship 😌 But besides that this was a fantastic little novella read and I’m so happy to add it to my shelves ☺️ Also Im ashamed to say I only discovered some time ago that Arthurian Legends are actually taking from Celtic myths 🥺 as I keep studying Celtic culture I look forward to learning more about Arthurian Legends too ☺️

My favorite Marvel couple 😌🩷💚 I was truly blown away by this Gambit variant cover that we recently got and then realized it pairs oh so well with this foil Rogue variant 🥰 I really enjoy having some solo titles for these two releasing as I can’t keep up with all the Xmen titles these days 😅 I’ve shifted my primary focus to DC and only occasionally pick up a Marvel title (unless it’s Star Wars ofc!)

Welcome to my “Lets All Love Bald Men” agenda 👩‍💻 I’m finally sharing a post about Copper Coins after finishing the last volume 😌 So Copper Coins was my first danmei and it continues to be my favorite I’ve read 😌 I absolutely love Xuanmin and Xue Xian so much, I love their personalities and dynamic and subtle progression of attachment they gain over the series 🥹 As for storytelling I do prefer the structure of small episodic plots with an overarching plot that happens in Copper Coins (Peerless is similar and likely another reason its my second fave 😌). The finale and epilogues for this short series were just superb and Im still basking in the bliss of those last happy moments 🥹 But well, I also understand why this series wouldn’t connect with people as its a slow, subtle burn but it fits me like a glove 🥰 Will it ever be dethroned as my favorite danmei? 🤔 We’ll have to wait and see 👀✨
