My kids could have stayed all afternoon. Rocky Mountain National Park is absolutely amazing, but the Bear Lake Corridor can get wild with crowds. This underrated hike climbs through the forest before it opens up to a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by massive granite boulders 😮 📍Gem Lake 🥾3.4 miles round trip 🏔️ 1000 ft. 🏔️Dreaming of climbing mountains with your kids? Save this for your next big hike! Before I became a mom, these mountains were a big part of my life and so being able to share this moment with my daughter was incredibly special 🥹 🏔️These mountains are strenuous and demand you to be prepared. Especially with kids. 🏔️I can't emphasize enough that there is no shame in turning around. Maybe you or your kids arent feeling great at altitude, or the weather starts looking like it's shifting. The mountain will always be there another day. 💪🏼 Kids can do hard things when given the chance! 📢Big shoutout to everyone climbing with us this weekend!
