“Because the mail never stops! It just keeps coming and coming and coming. There’s never a letup, it’s relentless! Every day it piles up MORE and MORE and MORE, and you gotta get it out, but the more you get it out, the more it keeps coming in! And then the barcode reader breaks! And then, it’s Set Your World on Fire release day!!!” by @ralphasomvel

Set Your World on Fire is out now 🌍🔥
The first thing we wanna say is THANK YOU! Over 1,000 pre-orders with no record label, no distribution, just the undying support of the ASOMVEL ARMY.
This is the first time in the history of the band that we’ve recorded a second album with the same lineup, for once it didn’t feel like we were building up the synergy from scratch, or dusting ourselves off after another setback. We were able to take everything we did with the last album and refine that process, and as a result, the album felt like it wrote itself. It’s a collection of various ideas that primarily arose from the fundamental joy of playing a guitar through a loud Marshall amplifier, whilst surrounded by the kind of creative energy you get when the vibes are good and everybody understands the assignment.

We recorded a lot of the tracks on Born to Rock ‘n’ Roll before we’d even gigged together as a band. This time we were going back into the studio after touring relentlessly all year with bands we’ve idolised for a long time, living our dream, soaking it all in, and gradually becoming the people we needed to be to make this album.
We’re on a roll now, and we’ve already started writing for the next album!

We’d like to thank Matt Elliss at Axis Studios in Doncaster for doing a great job producing, mixing, and mastering the record. Thanks to Deb Robinson and Davey Gooch, for going above and beyond for us in ways no manager and no accountant/merch guy typically would! Most of all we want to thank all of you for buying the album, streaming it, and sharing it with your mates! We can’t wait to get out there next month and play this shit loud & proud for you all!!!
Until the next one; IF IT’S TOO LOUD, YOU’RE TOO OLD! 🔊 by @ralphasomvel
