Young Chef 2024 by Fratelli - Ralph Prazeres

Ralph Prazeres is a talented young Goan chef, best known for his mastery of Pastéis de Nata, the iconic Portuguese egg tarts that have garnered a cult following in Goa. After internships at renowned restaurants like Noma, Prazeres returned to his native Goa and, before the age of 30, successfully established Padaria Prazeres in Panjim. His latest venture, Praça Prazeres, highlights his versatility as a savory chef, solidifying his reputation as one of the most promising young chefs cooking in India today.

For the first time ever, Padaria Prazeres has found its place among the country’s 50 best at Condé Nast Traveller’s Top Restaurants 2026.

For a space that started out during the pandemic, to have grown and to be recognised at a national level is a huge honour for us.

Big ups to our team, which has dealt with waves over waves of weekend visitors, dozens of workplace crises, and all the other challenges that have been thrown their way — it’s not easy, and yet you folks somehow do it all.

And of course, much appreciation for @diviathani, @sa1i1, @cntravellerindia, and @districtupdates for putting together this beautiful event, and to the jury members who voted for us.

We’re honoured to be ranked #18 on the list at the Condé Nast Traveller’s Top Restaurant Awards 2026.

This is our third year on the list, which is no easy feat, and this award is a testament to our team’s tireless efforts and commitment to ensuring that every single person who walks into Praça for a meal leaves with their hearts happy.

A little Goan breeze in Bangalore. 🌴

Chef Ralph Prazeres brought new curations, brilliant bakes and a taste of home to The Conservatory, bringing together the flavours of Praça Prazeres and Padaria Prazeres for a weekend of good food and even better company.

From comforting European-inspired plates to flaky pastries and freshly baked favourites, it was a little slice of Goa, full tables, happy plates and plenty of reasons to linger.

For the second year in a row, Praça Prazeres has been awarded 4 Ultimate Stars at @culinarycultureco’s #UltimateRestaurantRatings 2026.

Of course, we had to get our Padaria and Praça teams together for a night of celebration! After all, they’re one of the biggest reasons why we are on this list. (Swipe to see what our team looks like when they’re not in their aprons 😬)
