We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary last week we spent in Preston(UK), where the exchange offered hands-on sessions, shared methodologies, and meaningful artistic interactions that allowed us to explore new ways of supporting communities living with neurological conditions,
Each day of this great experience immersed us in creative practices, joint reflection, and direct engagement with LPM Dance’s community work, giving us valuable tools and perspectives that we broght back home with gratitude last night.
With these insights guiding us, we are now preparing the Bucharest exchange taking place at the end of this week, ready to deepen our joint exploration of innovative practices that can better support people living with neurological conditions like Parkinson’s through practical workshops, co-created sessions, open dialogue and a performance-promoting artistic and social inclusion.
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐲 is a project organized by Profeti Art SRL, communicated through Asociația Entuziart.

#tbt when I took part in this fascinating project where my neurological activity was recorded and projected in real time and I was in a situation in which I felt exposed from the inside out. It was a strange feeling having a new context every time I was performing because my brain activity was different every time. So I happened to start unprepared on every performance. It was an experiment on how I react, organize my mind and my physiologic mechanisms in order to control what was in front of me. Did I manage to control the virtual body that had been created out of my electromagnetic impulses? It is not a straight answer of yes or no. It was more like some moments I was in some sort of control, some other ones I only reacted at my virtual responses which I was not aware of until those specific moments.
It was a physical and mental performance which led me to new perceptions about my body. The technology changed the conception of corporality. What does this corporality mean when the body is nothing more than an image? It is not the subject who decides whether it sees itself, but the appearance of the image which imposes its own altering effects.
It was an experiment on building a virtual relationship with an absent body.

Pe măsură ce corpurile fizice şi digitale sunt din ce în ce mai interconectate, ajungem rapid la un moment în care cele două devin inseparabile şi aproape indistincte, fie în industrie, social media, artă, politică sau asistență medicală. Dar cum înțelege corpul nostru această nouă versiune digitală a lui însuşi, cum creează sens pentru ea? Schimbă această digitalizare modul în care reacționăm la mediile noastre interioare şi exterioare? Ne face să ne simțim mai mult sau mai puțin controlați? Şi cum ne înțelegem cu procesul de digitalizare?

Cyber-Body-Systems explorează aceste întrebări, recunoscând aspectele invizibile ale corpului nostru, care sunt, de asemenea, digitalizate - procesele noastre interioare, gândurile, stările mentale, ritmurile şi reacțiile naturale ale creierului nostru.
