Today felt like a family reunion that history called together.

The pre-opening of the Obama Presidential Center wasn’t just a ceremony. It was a reminder of what happens when inspiration, empathy, and joy walk into the same room.

Four presidents under one roof: George W. Bush and Laura, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Joe and Dr. Jill Biden, and of course Barack and Michelle Obama, standing together as a testament to the enduring power of public service and grace.

Then you add the magic of Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Christina Aguilera, Bono, The Edge and more. All showing up for this moment!

Some moments don’t just move you. They mark you.

On the eve of Juneteenth, history didn’t just get made. We got to witness it.

I am overwhelmed with joy to know all of the good work that will come out of that center and foundation and back into the community.

From Haiti to the heart of Tribeca, and the world will never be the same.

The Tropic Sun and His Eyes didn’t just screen at the Tribeca Film Festival. It stopped people in their tracks.

Three sold-out screenings. A fourth added. That one sold out too.

Because when a story is this real, this raw, and this necessary audiences don’t walk away. They lean in.

This is a film about a father and a son. About the quiet battles we fight inside ourselves. About mental health, emotional wholeness, and the invisible threads that connect us to the people we love and the places we come from. And it all unfolds against the breathtaking landscapes of Haiti, a country whose beauty the world has too often overlooked.

Filmmaker Elisee Junior St. Preux describes his feature directorial debut with a simplicity that says everything: this film is about connection. Connection to self. Connection to others. Connection to roots.

Tribeca agreed. He was awarded a Special Jury Mention for Best New Narrative Director.

But the real verdict came from every single person who sat in that theater and didn’t want to leave.

Thank you Stevenson Jean for your outstanding performance as Ruben and the entire amazing cast.

This film deserves to be seen in Port-au-Prince, in Paris, in Philadelphia, in every corner of this earth where someone has ever longed to feel less alone.

The Tropic Sun and His Eyes is coming. Watch for it. Tell everyone.

When the World Premiere of The Tropic Sun and His Eyes touches 🛩️ down in NYC at Tribeca Festival.

From Haiti 🇭🇹to one of the world's biggest stages for independent film. A journey built on faith, grit, and a whole lot of heart.

Proud of director Elisée Junior St. Preux and every person who poured themselves into this film. It's go time 💨

Hope lives on through the courage of those who dare to believe in something bigger than themselves. Reverend Jesse Jackson reminded the world that every person carries dignity, worth, and “somebodyness.”

From watching him run for president as a young man to later meeting him in person, his voice shaped what leadership and possibility looked like for my generation. His message was simple but powerful: “I am somebody.” And if each of us believes that, we can build a world where everyone belongs.

Movements start with a voice, but they grow through action. The responsibility now belongs to all of us to keep pushing forward.

Keep hope alive.

One of my 2024 highlights was working with DEICE throughout the year. I am super proud of our work in Europe and I want to thank DEICE for their unwavering commitment and amazing leadership from our DEICE conference in Rome earlier this year to the amazing execution of all of our equity initiatives. I look forward to another year of incredible partnership!
