Join me for NEW meditation and movement sessions at the Museum of Contemporary Art @mocatoronto in collaboration with @mosaicyogato. Encounter Delcy Morelos’ multi-sensory installation, Ombligo, a curving, belly-like form made of sisal rope, soil, and corn husks, and imbued with a scent blended by the artist.

In our smallness, close to a great belly of earth, what will we find, with our senses attuned and awakening?

Morelos has created a woven environment that engages the earth as both medium and metaphor, exploring themes of spirituality, memory, and intertwined histories of land, labour, and colonialism. Move and breath, play with sound and silence to experience this installation with all of your senses.

Breathwork & Meditation inside Kimsooja’s DIMENSIONS OF A NEEDLE at MOCA
July 30, 6:15pm — Link in bio — use code RAMI10 for 10% off the ticket price ☀️ by @ramischandall

I am thrilled to lead a special event on July 30, 2026, at 6:15pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Toronto.

Join MOCA and Mosaic Yoga for a guided breathwork experience inspired by the artist Kimsooja’s exploration of materiality, transformation, and connection in her exhibition Dimensions of a Needle.

Through intentional breath and meditation, you’ll be invited to slow down and cultivate a deeper awareness of the present moment, reflecting on the relationships between body, space, and materiality that underpin Kimsooja’s practice. Move softly among the Moon Jars filled with metaphorical breath, cloth and needle, transformation and connection. Explore resting mind, in ever-changing bodies being breathed.

I cannot begin to convey the depths of who my vital and vivacious mother was. I cannot speak for her, as I process the undigestable fact of her terminal illness and death. But I can quote her:

“Take me to your mountains, to the beautiful places — bring me with you.”
