Together with Anna Wabeke, we explored Amsterdam in search of the stories behind the people sleeping outside.

Until 30 August, the exhibition ‘Weltrusten Buur’ is free to visit at the Meterhuisje in Westerpark.

For years, the @z_krant has featured ‘De Buitenslapers’ in every edition: a photograph of someone sleeping somewhere outdoors in the city, blending into their surroundings and becoming part of the streetscape.

At the Meterhuisje at @westergas, you get to know the people behind these images through portrait photography and their own voices. An exhibition that invites you to look differently, at the images, the city, and yourself. by @ramonvanflymen
