The number one thing that stops owners from hiring isn’t fear. It’s that nobody ever showed them the math. We know how to do the work. We were never taught what an employee actually costs, what she’d need to bring in to pay for herself, or how long before she’s worth it. So we guess, we get scared of the guess, and we stay stuck doing everything ourselves for another year. On September 17 I’m teaching a workshop at Brand Gloss called From Solo to Team. Two hours on the part nobody teaches us. Whether you’re actually ready to hire. What you can genuinely afford to pay, taxes and all. And how to choose a person who stays. We’re doing the math live. I’ll take one person’s real numbers and work out what a hire costs and what she’d need to produce to cover herself. Most owners have never watched that happen, and it’s usually the moment the whole thing stops feeling impossible. This is for you if you’re booked solid and turning people away but the numbers scare you. It’s also for you if you already have a team and it isn’t running the way you pictured.
