This marks the first of many events for signing my children’s chapter book, Leaving Sherwood House.

@fei.lb hosted us in their stunning sanctuary, bringing the setting of Sherwood House to life. It felt like I was welcoming my guests into the very garden where the story takes place.

I shared my journey, got emotional, and reflected on the hard work behind this moment.
The presence of the wonderful people who attended added immense value to the event, making it all the more meaningful to me.

This day has truly made my heart smile. 💛

يشرفني وبكل سرور وبهجة أن أكون جزءًا من برنامج ملتقى أولياء الأمور في أبو ظبي. تأثرت بالمؤتمر على مستويات عدة وقد جنيت منه كنوزا عديدة. لقد كانت تجربة رائعة جمعت بين خبراء دوليين بارزين وخبراء محليين ملهمين، تناولنا جميعا كل ما يتعلق بالتربية الوالدية في القرن الحادي والعشرين.
أعتقد أنه عندما نظهر جميعًا اللطف والخير لبعضنا البعض، يمكننا بناء عالم أفضل لأطفالنا. وباستطاعتنا كذلك تمهيد الطريق لقادة استثنائيين يمكنهم خدمة المجتمع.
أشكر صاحبة السعادة السيدة سارة مسلم، وجميع المنظمين وأديك لتنظيم هذا المؤتمر التوعوي الفريد من نوعه.

It impacted me on so many levels and left me with endless treasures. It was a mind blowing experience that brought together international leading professionals and inspiring local experts as we tackled everything that has to do with parenting in the 21st century.
I do believe that when we all exhibit kindness and goodness with each other we can create a better world for our children. We can pave the road to exceptional leaders who can serve the community.
I couldn’t thank enough the iconic lady Her Excellency Sara Musallam, the remarkable organizers and ADEK for making this revolutionary awareness come to life.

يمكن نكون تربّينا بطريقة معيّنة، وطلعنا منيحين… بس الدني تغيّرت، والتحديات يلي عم يواجهها ولادنا اليوم مش متل قبل. 🌿
زمان، كان عنا الـ Village…

We may have grown up a certain way and turned out just fine, but the world has changed, and the challenges our children face today are different. 🌿
In the past, we had a village—family, neighbors, and people around us to share parenting experiences, learn from one another, and offer support when we needed it.

When my kids left for university, I asked them something more important: “How can I be there for you when you need me?”

I learned to listen without judgment or pushing my own opinions, because every child needs something different. Some need to be heard, others need advice, and some need solutions.

Ask them what they need, and you’ll stay connected even when you’re far apart.

لكل ماما خايفة تترك ولادها يفلّوا ويبلّشوا حياتهم لحالهم…بالجامعة

بعرف إنك كنتِ قوية كرمال الكل. وبعرف قديش ممكن تحسّي بالوحدة، حتى لو حواليك ناس.

ممكن تكوني فخورة ومكسورة من جوّا بنفس اللحظة. هيدا مش تخبّص بالمشاعر… هيدا حبّ.

ممكن تحسّي بالذنب على شغلات عملتيها، وشغلات ما عملتيها. بس إنتِ عملتي أفضل شي قدرتِ عليه، بالوعي اللي كان عندك وقتها.

البيت صار أهدى… ومن حقك تحسّي بغياب هالضجّة. ومن حقك تشتاقيلها كمان.

إنتِ ما عم تخسري دورك كأم… دورك عم يتغيّر وعم ياخد شكل جديد.

والمرأة اللي كنتِها قبل الأمومة وخلالها، بعدها موجودة فيكِ. ناطرتك ترجعي تتعرّفي عليها من جديد.

Behind every calm tip I share is someone who has raised her voice, apologised, and tried again. Parenting isn’t about getting it perfect. It’s about showing up, repairing, and loving them through all of it.

إيه، بعدني عم فتّش عالفردة التانية. 😂

ورا كل نصيحة عن الهدوء بشاركها، في أم رفعت صوتها، اعتذرت، وحاولت من جديد. التربية مش إنو نكون كاملين. هي إنو نضل موجودين، نصلّح لما نغلط، ونحب ولادنا بكل هالمراحل.

قبل: كنت مفكّرة إنو الشباب لحالو يعني صحّة أحسن.

لكل أم مشتاقة لابنها أو بنتها اللي سافروا عالجامعة اليوم، ببعتلك غمرة… وتعي معي خبرك شي.

#مراحل_الأمومة #ترابط #تخرج_

ورا الفخر في أوقات خوف ما منحكي عنه:
يا ترى رح يكونوا بخير من دوني؟
وشو رح يعملوا اذا احتاجوني وأنا بعيدة؟

قدي حلوة وقدي صعبة بنفس الوقت.

مرقت بهالشعور بنفسي، ومن هون كتبت كتاب، وطوّرت أول دورة بالمنطقة لمساعدة الأمهات بهالمرحلة تحديداً.

لأن ترك ولادنا يروحوا مش يعني انه عم نخسرهم.
يمكن هو مساحة ليكبروا، ونكبر نحنا كمان، وتبلّش علاقة جديدة بيناتنا.
وإذا عم تحسّوا إنو حلو وصعب بنفس الوقت…
فهذا طبيعي.

رح ساعدك تعرفي تستقبلي هيدا الدور الجديد
تعرفي كيف تتحكمي بخوفك

Is your child in their last year of school before university?

My advice: don’t let your fears and the pressure to achieve take over the time you have left together.

Of course, there are important things to prepare for.

But ask yourself:

Are YOU ready for this next stage?
And have you taught them the life skills they’ll need?

If the answer is no, my new course is designed to help you navigate this transition, discover your new role as a mother, and learn how to reap what you’ve planted.
