I was diagnosed. I was struggling. And when I shared that I was starting medication, I was told not to speak it over myself.

But getting help isn’t a lack of faith. God fed Elijah and let him rest before He ever gave him his next assignment (1 Kings 19).

If you’re a believer wrestling with whether it’s okay to see a therapist or talk to your doctor about medication, I hope this gives you some peace. That decision is between you, your doctor, and God.

Why did the Holy Spirit come down like a dove? 🕊️

I’m still studying Ephesians, but I asked God to show me something about His character today. He took me from Mark 1 to Luke 2 to Leviticus 12, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

Mary and Joseph couldn’t afford a lamb, so they offered doves. Thirty years later, the dove came down on Jesus, and John called Him the Lamb of God. And the Spirit didn’t just land on Him. It remained.

Save this for your next Bible study and read it for yourself:

📖 Luke 2:22-24
📖 Leviticus 12:8
📖 John 1:29-34

How to read the Bible as a new believer 👇🏾

If you’re a new Christian wondering where to start reading the Bible or which Bible translation is best for beginners, this is for you. We’re talking thought-for-thought vs word-for-word, why you can trust the Bible, and why you shouldn’t read it alone.

Save this for your next quiet time.

Growing up Jamaican, cooking was a whole production. Somebody was always chopping onions, scallion, garlic, and thyme before anything touched the pot.

Now that I’m meal prepping, I don’t always have the time or energy for all that, but I still want my food to taste good. This chicken is my answer, and I quite literally make it every week. Everyone I’ve made it for asks for it again.

What I used:

• Chicken drumsticks
• Maggi All Purpose Season-up
• Maggi chicken bouillon
• Cayenne pepper
• Pink salt and black pepper
• Sazón Goya
• Smoked paprika
• Olive oil

Air fry at 400°F for 25 minutes, flipping halfway.

Save this for your next meal prep and tell me if you try it 📌

For a long time I didn’t think my testimony counted. No dramatic moment, just a slow walk with God. But somebody needed that slow walk.

Also, a confession: I haven’t been recording Let’s Testify Together. This one convicted me more than anyone. Finishing the course is the assignment.

Someone called you something once, and you’ve been answering to it ever since.

In Daniel 1, Babylon took four young Hebrew men captive and renamed them. Every one of their original names pointed back to God:

Daniel, “God is my judge,” became Belteshazzar
Hananiah, “the Lord is gracious,” became Shadrach
Mishael, “who is like God,” became Meshach
Azariah, “the Lord helps,” became Abednego

That wasn’t random. Every time someone called their name, God got taken out of it. But it didn’t work. They answered to new names, but they never bowed, and God met them in the fire

My name, Rasheeda, means “rightly guided.” For years I didn’t love it, until the Lord told me to change my name back, because He called me by my name.

So what have people called you? Too much? Not enough? Something from your past?

Here’s what He calls you: more than a conqueror, a new creation, chosen, fearfully and wonderfully made, His child, His masterpiece, free. 🤍

In other words, people can call you a lot of things, but they don’t get the final say. God has called you by name, so answer to that one.

Comment the name God calls you 👇🏾

I really thought that breakup was going to break me. And emotionally, it did.

But if it hadn’t ended, I wouldn’t have found my church, my friends, or God. What I thought was ruining my life was actually redirecting it.

James 1:2-4 doesn’t say trials feel good. It says count it joy. That’s a choice you make before the feeling shows up, because of what the pressure is building in you.
If you’re in something heavy right now, it still hurts. But it’s not wasted.

What’s a hard season that ended up redirecting you? Tell me below 👇🏾
