This week we celebrated Bryson being alive for a decade with a Mario Kart Racing Adventure! 🏎️💨💨💨I can’t believe my baby boy is 10 years old 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳Bryson, you are an amazing, funny, sweet, bold, playful and curious young man after God’s heart 😇 You are loved deeply by our family and friends. They proved it coming dressed as your favorite characters to celebrate 🏎️ I’m so thankful to my village and all the new parents I’ve met through your friendships babe. We had just as much fun as the kids 😆Keep listening to God and you will do marvelous things. 🥹Welcome to the double digits buddy! This holiday season started off in NYC with ice skating ⛸️ in Bryant Park with @asia.witta.y. It was Bryson’s first trip to times square! Next we went to a soulful Christmas musical in Virginia Beach, followed by the historic carousel ride and face painting in Hampton with my mom and Santa 🎅🏿 We celebrated Christmas early with the family and my annual holiday brunch.🤤So much joy and love this season♥️🤍from our home to yours Seasons Greetings 🎁 by @rashida_757

On the eve of election night; I’m reflecting on my experience at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference in September. It’s hard to capture in words how meaningful this conference is every year. ✨This was my first time attending since covid. It’s always informative, inspirational and uplifting to see our leaders in Congress demonstrating their impact in every domain of society from science, technology, environmental justice, education, medicine, mental health to gun legislation. Here are a few highlights from the seminars I was able to attend. The amount of work that is happening is astronomical. I always leave with a renewed sense of purpose and determination about my own goals and impact here in this world.🌍 The pinnacle of the CBCF was the Prayer breakfast for me! 🙏🏾I’ve never attended before, but I will never miss it again. It was absolutely the best moment for me to worship with so many prominent leaders in Washington 🙌🏾 To know that so many of our elected officials are submitted under God openly praying and asking God for guidance in their decision-making was truly humbling and comforting. So as chaotic as our world may seem and as unsure as the future may be….rest assured there are many leaders at the helm rooted in Jesus! 🤲🏾To God be the glory! No matter the outcome of the election Jesus is King today and every day. 👑Mark 1:15 taken in Washington D. C. by @rashida_757

I had the herstoric pleasure to vote for our future first black woman president @kamalaharris I am filled with much pride and gratitude to cast a legendary vote that will change our nation for the better! We are not going back 💙 I also support @timkaine and @missycottersmasal for the responsible leadership we need in Congress. I’m ecstatic to teach my son about political responsibility, voting rights history and becoming civically engaged 🗳️ He can’t grasp the weight of how our ancestors are living their wildest dreams through our lives but he will. I remember taking my oldest to canvass and phone bank in Philly back in 2008 for @barackobama. It was life changing for him to grow with the Obamas as role models in the White House😍 Please get involved 🙏🏾Early voting is well underway in Virginia and there were lines even as polls were about to close. I urge you to vote early and support the Democratic Party for Freedom 🇺🇸 Then let’s all Cheers to victory in November ! 🥃@sirdavis @beyonce #democraticparty #virginiademocrats #vote #kamalaharris #timwalz #thefutureisfemale #democracy #earlyvoting #womanleaders #unitedstates #votebluetosaveamerica🇺🇸💙 @arimelber @thelauracoates @abbydphillip @joyannreid @plies taken in Virginia Beach, Virginia by @rashida_757

Leaders of the school ⭐️He’s 5’3 and we wear the same size shoe now 🫠 I love his new seasoned teachers and believe they will bring out the best in the students 📚 I pray all the kiddos have a safe and productive school year. May all the administrators and support staff feel loved ❤️and appreciated all year long for the vital work they do to instruct our future minds 🧠 bc covid showed us all how hard it is 🙏🏾🙌🏾 by @rashida_757
