Before this panel, my legs were shaking. I was thinking, “Why did I agree to this? I’m never doing it again!”

Then the conversation began. The fear was still there, but I listened. I stayed present. And when I had something to add, I spoke.

Now, I’m grateful I said yes. There’s plenty I want to improve before the next one. But today I’m letting myself be proud of this one.

Maybe courage isn’t feeling steady. Maybe it’s speaking while your legs are still shaking. 🤍

This song has been running on loop… until Parvati’s unwavering love found its way into my movements. ❤️‍🔥🔱

They called it ‘zid’ stubbornness.
She knew it was her conviction.

The Sapta Rishis saw an ascetic with no palace or crown only the Ganga in his matted hair and serpents around his neck. But Parvati saw beyond everything the world questioned. She saw her Shiva.

They questioned her choice.
She never questioned her love. ❤️

My Bharatanatyam interpretation of “Jab Zid Pe Aa Gayi Parvati” from Hanuman Ansh—a story of devotion so deep that nothing could sway it.

ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಥೆಗಳು…

Those stories are imbibed in us so deeply that I believe my creativity, imagination, curiosity to know more and ability to think outside the box developed through them. Ajji taught us all this through her stories.

She lived for over 90 years, and I remember her very fondly. In the 1920s, she completed her matriculation and teacher training in English medium—which was quite rare in that era.

My dad was born when she was in her forties, so by the time I was born, she was already in her seventies. I may have known her only in the later years of her life, but the wisdom, imagination and values she passed on through her stories continue to live within me.❤️

Throwback to 2013 — IQVIA cultural event! 💃❤️

Watching this after 13 years and my first thought was… why did I have SO much energy? Watch till the end 😂🙈 A tiny part of me is embarrassed, but a much bigger part is smiling.

This was before Instagram Reels and before we had endless choreography references at our fingertips. We inspired each other, borrowed ideas from each other, added our own madness and somehow put a performance together. 😄

And when I think about it, this has followed me everywhere from school, college and workplace cultural events. I have always managed to find like-minded people who were willing to join the madness. ❤️ @drsmithachandran @kanchana.savanth24 @sheethal krishna thankyou ❤️

The choreography may belong to 2013… but apparently the energy hasn’t gone anywhere. 😂💃

July 2025: Since this was a surprise celebration, planning everything alone simply wasn’t possible. It truly takes a village to create moments like these, and I couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our dear friends.

A heartfelt thank you to Divya and Raj 🙏🏻 for helping plan the entire program, and to Sinchana, Arjun, Pushpa,Abhishek, Prasanna, Pooja, Saanvi, Santosh, Keerthi, Sudhakar, and Sushma for helping with the decorations, bringing food and supplies, lending a hand throughout the day, and staying back to help clean up in the end. Your generosity, teamwork, and willingness to help at every stage made this celebration possible.

We were also truly blessed that our respective parents could be with us to celebrate this special occasion. Their presence made the day even more meaningful and complete. ❤️
