The US has released images showing that the Iranian crew was detained on October 6 before the ship was sunk. According to Washington, the vessel is apparently being used as a maritime surveillance and spy center to monitor maritime activities and disrupt security in the strategic region of the Gulf of Oman. According to reports, the crew of the vessel, which the US has identified as being from the Revolutionary Guards of the Islamic Revolution, were detained before the ship was sunk.
The detention of the forces of the Revolutionary Guards and the sinking of their vessel can be a significant blow and a source of embarrassment for the Revolutionary Guards.

Melika Azizi, an 18-year-old Iranian protester, faces the death penalty after being arrested during nationwide anti-government demonstrations and accused of burning the Islamic Republic's flag.

Azizi was arrested on January 9, 2026, in Masal, Gilan province, northern Iran, before being transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht.

She was accused of moharebeh, meaning “waging war against God.”

Azizi confronted the judge during her proceedings, declaring:

“You let so many young people bleed. How can I remain silent? I don't care. Just kill me.”

She was denied contact with her family and access to legal representation, while her relatives faced pressure from security authorities.

23-year-old Najmeh Amini is at risk of imminent execution — sentenced to death over a social media post the regime calls "insulting the prophet." Arrested during the January uprising, she was also handed 12 years in a separate case. As of this week, the death sentence has not yet been upheld by the Supreme Court — there is still time to make noise.

Her message from prison: "I do not want to make a hero out of myself today. I only want one thing: be my voice." Her defense — that she posted while hallucinating — was mocked by the judge, who asked why her "hallucinations" knew exactly which channel to post in. This is the regime's justice: death for words, mockery for mercy.

Nearly 600 executions this year alone. They kill for words because they fear voices. Najmeh asked for one thing — be her voice. Say her name. Share her story. A free Iran will never hang a 23-year-old for a post.

From inside the regime's prisons, 133 Iranian political prisoners and activists issued a statement of support for His Imperial Majesty Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi @officialrezapahlavi ahead of his engagement with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Germany. They designate him their political representative and voice before the international community, reject any solution that preserves religious rule, and demand the end of the Islamic Republic and a free, representative government.

Even under the shadow of the noose, the Iranian people inside the prisons are naming their preferred path: secular, constitutional restoration under the Crown Prince. The regime can hang bodies. It cannot hang that demand.
