Everybody wants to win. 🐦‍⬛⚾️
But who’s willing to prepare like a winner?

Talent gets you noticed.
Preparation separates you.
The work nobody sees is what shows up when the lights come on.

🔥 Winners don’t just want it. They prepare for it.

What matters more: TALENT or PREPARATION? 👇

🧠⚾ THE MENTAL APPROACH MATTERS.

Great pitchers don’t just throw with their arms—they compete with their minds.

Attack the hitter.
Win one pitch at a time.
Control the tempo.
Trust your stuff.
Embrace the pressure.

When you step on the mound, don’t focus on being perfect. Focus on competing.

“I WANT THE BALL.” 🔥

Intent creates results. 🔴⚫

The little things matter.

Intent during catch play.
Consistent work in the weight room.
Showing up and attacking every rep with a purpose.

That work has translated to a jump in velocity from 82.8 MPH last fall → 84.0 MPH this fall. 📈⚾️

This isn’t about one workout or one throwing session. It’s about stacking intentional work day after day.

Be intentional with everything you do.

Being coachable is a competitive advantage. 🐦⚾️

You don’t have to know everything. You just have to be willing to learn, listen, accept correction, and trust the process.

At Rio Grande Baseball, we’re building more than baseball players—we’re building young men who understand that growth requires humility, discipline, and commitment.

Be coachable. Be accountable. Keep learning. Stay the course.

Building a program isn’t about one season. It’s about building a standard, developing young men, creating a culture, and laying a foundation that lasts.

The wins will come. The relationships, discipline, accountability, and lessons learned along the way—that’s the real work.

They can call me a “BAD COACH.” I’ll take that.

If holding players accountable for their grades, attendance, effort, attitude, and commitment makes me the bad guy… so be it.

I’m not here just to develop better baseball players.
I’m here to help develop better people.

Standards matter. Accountability matters. Character matters.

⚾️ MORE THAN A GAME.
🔴⚫️ BETTER PLAYERS. BETTER PEOPLE.

Most people know how to coach baseball. ⚾️

But here’s the question: How do your baseball players MOVE?

At Rio Grande Baseball, we believe in building the athlete first. Speed. Strength. Mobility. Power. Coordination. Athletic movement.

Because when you develop better athletes, you create better baseball players. 🔴⚫️

TRAIN. MOVE. COMPETE.

40+ PLAYERS. ONE CULTURE. ONE SOUTH VALLEY. 🐦⚾

This is bigger than baseball.

The dedication of our players, families, coaches, teachers, and the entire South Valley community has helped create something special—a culture where baseball and academics matter.

For more than a decade, that commitment has helped 40+ Rio Grande players go on to play college baseball. 🎓⚾

It’s proof that when a community invests in its kids, believes in them, and holds them accountable, opportunities follow.

Develop. Compete. Graduate. Next Level.

This is Rio Grande Baseball.
The South Valley Standard.
A South Valley Tradition.

Last season, we made base stealing an emphasis—and the Ravens answered the call. 🏃‍♂️💨

In 2025, Rio Grande stole 65 bases at a 74% success rate. That wasn’t just about speed—it was about aggressive baserunning, confidence, reads, jumps, and putting pressure on the defense.

We challenged our guys to turn singles into scoring opportunities and make every 90 feet matter.

2026: 124 stolen bases. 83% success rate.

The numbers show the growth. The standard keeps rising.

FAST. SMART. AGGRESSIVE. 🐦‍⬛⚾️
