To that time I got a new @vendulalondon book bag and went on an adventure.

This past weekend I went into San Francisco to attend a book event and decided to treat myself and have afternoon tea at @lovejoys_tearoom.

I always have the best time there because the atmosphere is fully of whimsy and the food and tea are delicious. If you ever visit San Francisco, this place is surely worth a visit.

After my tea, I’ve then traveled to another location for a reading rhythms event hosted by a romance only bookstore, and I will discuss that in the following post. Stay tuned. taken in Lovejoy's Tea Room by @ravenousreader

When an adult who is full of whimsy has a love for ACOTAR and a credit card.

Behold my ACOTAR bookstack bag from @loungefly. I could not resist the temptation from getting this book and it will be with me for a midnight release party this month for A Court of Splintered Harmony by @sarahjmaas @bloomsburypublishing

Are you going to a midnight release or just staying home and waiting till it drops at midnight? Decisions, decisions, but whatever you decide I hope it makes you the happiest reader.

Thank you @alibibookshop for allowing me to stop by and have an impromptu photo shoot. Ya’ll are the best. ♥️

I REQUIRE SO MUCH ….. like the Sense and Sensibility stacked book popcorn tin.

Recently I made a delightful @fandango purchase, the stacked book popcorn tin that was made for the Sense and Sensibility movie premiering later this month.

Have you ever purchased a movie themed popcorn tin? This is my first time and I am completely smitten with it.

This is something whimsical for the readers, the romantics, and the popcorn lovers. I am totally taking mine with me when I watch the @sensesensibilityfilm on the 14th (early ticket).

Last Halloween, I had the pleasure of visiting @burnt.umber.oc a coffee shop that I have been obsessed with since the pandemic.

My friends and I hopped in a car and drove down from Anaheim to visit this particular spot spot and it had all the Gothic spooky vibes that was perfect for Halloween.

Happy release day to @helenscheuerer for Kiss of the Black Flame @atriabooks

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting Helen for the book tour event hosted by @bookpassage. It was moderated by author @kfbreene

The event started off with questions by K. F. where we got to learn about its characters, Helene’s writing process and more. My favorite moment is finding out how Helen wanted to have a slightly more “soft” MMC (that still had muscles) that we would all drool over.

We had to keep things spoiler free because the book didn’t release until today, but we had a lot of fun regardless. The event was videotaped so participants watching could ask questions along with event attendees. Then when everything was done, we could get our signed books personalized and take pictures with the authors.

Overall it was a good time. I got to see my bookish friends and got another book that I am very excited to add to my library. I also got to visit a new restaurant I haven’t been to and I got to bring out one of my favorite bags. taken in Book Passage Bookstore & Cafe by @ravenousreader

Happy book launch day to @laurapiperlee for DOOMSDATE! 🧟

I had the pleasure of attending the book launch event hosted by @anovelaffairbookcafe for @laurapiperlee who was joined by @elliepalmerwrites and @authortarahdewitt

@laurapiperlee @authortarahdewitt and @elliepalmerwrites had such a great time together. It made for a fun and engaging time.

What being a supporter of @anovelaffairbookcafe can get you.

@laurapiperlee was demonstrating her batting skills with a special toy that was left by an anonymous attending.

Its always a pleasure to see @authortarahdewitt

Hello @elliepalmerwrites! I really enjoyed her event questions

Another moment of @laurapiperlee and her gift.

Attendees of the book launch event got a special DOOMSDATE book jacket. I absolutely love it.

We also got character cards. This one is Maisie. (machete not included.) 😂

This is Everett…. did you know that he is a professor?

Today I spent a wonderful afternoon at the @filoliestate to see the @fleurdevilles exhibit of the period drama @gildedagehbo

The Fleurs de Villes' THE GILDED AGE exhibition at California's Filoli Historic House & Garden reimagines HBO's TV show with couture mannequins all crafted entirely from fresh flowers and foliage. This exhibit ia currently running September 9-18.

So, hurry quick if your someone that loves visiting gardens and a bit of whimsy, because this is the event for you. by @ravenousreader
