Join us in the global effort to achieve Zero Hunger! We're proud to present our video, "Zero Hunger: One Plate at a Time," created from our homes. Together with Yazna, Intan, Muti, Zahra, Prem, Wai Yau, Esther, and Adlu, we've shown how small actions like cooking mindfully, supporting local markets, and spreading nutrition awareness can make a big impact.

Special thanks to Prem for his skillful editing. Your support means the world to us!

Let's continue working together towards a future where everyone has enough to eat. 🍲💚

It is really hard to be lonely very long in a world of words. Even if you don't have friends somewhere, you still have language, and it will find you and wrap its little syllables around you and suddenly there will be a story to live in." – Naomi Shihab Nye. ⏳📖️📚💡

In Sri Lanka, deforestation poses a significant threat to biodiversity, impacting species like the Uperadon nagaoi ( Nagao's pug-snut frog ), a unique frog species endemic to Sri Lanka. Uperadon nagaoi relies on tree holes filled with water for breeding and tadpole development, making them highly vulnerable to habitat destruction caused by deforestation. These frogs play a crucial role in the ecosystem by controlling insect populations and contributing to local biodiversity.

Wilpattu National Park serves as a stark example of deforestation's impact in Sri Lanka. The clearing of forests for agriculture, urban development, and illegal logging has drastically reduced the park's natural habitat, threatening the diverse wildlife and ecosystems it supports.

Discussing these issues with an international audience is crucial for raising awareness and fostering collaboration on global conservation efforts. I am grateful to the organizers for providing this opportunity to learn and share insights that can help protect our planet's natural heritage.
