“Legacy is not defined by our work but by the work of the people we Mentor”
- Antonio J Lucio

There are no words to describe the love that I have for what I do and who I get to work with, coach and inspire. It’s nothing new that this summer and the past few months did not go as planned for me. But life is full of surprises, and one must learn to roll with punches and deal with the cards you’ve been dealt.

It’s been nothing short of an honor to work alongside some truly amazing people, and to be able to coach and inspire young athletes, who never cease to amaze me.

I am honored to have been able to inspire the next generation of coaches and players. All I could think about while I was in the hospital is when I could get back on the field with my people, and not feel like life and lacrosse had moved on without me.

This weekend, coaching the 2025s for the last time and the 2026s for the second to last year of their club lacrosse life, I felt nothing but love and genuine care. All I can hope for is that the people I have coached and those that I work with, have learned just as much from me as I have from them.

Grateful for the opportunity to grow the game, but more importantly, help grow young people into believing that they can be anything that they dream of becoming, whether lacrosse or sport is involved or not.

To me, that is more important than wins or losses. And it always will be. The wins for life and in life, will always trump those in sport.

I’m grateful for my recent experiences that have continued to put life in perspective. Grateful for the little moments. Grateful for the love. Grateful to do what I love and to inspire others. Grateful to make even a small and positive impact to those around me. Grateful for the happy tears shed today with the squad, but especially with Molly G, whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with since she was in 3rd grade. It’s been one hell of a ride. ❤️

Career highlights to date & recently found out I’m the only woman currently playing on a men’s professional team in any sport. I’m still here and not stopping anytime soon.

There are some places in life that become more than a destination—they become part of your story.

I am incredibly honored and humbled to be recognized as a 2026 Lake Placid Legend, receiving the Jim Muhlfelder Award at the Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse Classic.

Lake Placid has been my lacrosse home away from home since 2012. This tournament has shaped me not only as an athlete, but as a coach, mentor, and person.

To now be recognized alongside so many individuals who have helped grow our game is something I never imagined.

This honor means even more knowing the journey it represents. From being told as a child with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) that contact sports weren’t in my future, to wearing the Team USA jersey, competing professionally in both the men’s and women’s game, coaching at every NCAA level, building RV Lacrosse, and advocating for others living with PKD—every challenge has reinforced one lesson:

Your circumstances do not define your potential. Your response to them does.

Thank you to the Lake Placid Summit Classic, the Legends Committee, my family, teammates, coaches, players, and everyone who has believed in me throughout this journey. Your support has allowed me to chase dreams that once seemed impossible.

Most importantly, thank you to every young athlete I’ve had the privilege of coaching. I hope this serves as a reminder that barriers are meant to be challenged, dreams are worth pursuing, and your impact on others will always be your greatest legacy.

Lake Placid will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am forever grateful to now be part of its legacy.

Here’s to continuing to Power Performance & Deliver Dreams—both on and off the field.

💙🏔️🥍
