POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s more than a massage.
.
It’s an opportunity to release what no longer needs to be held.

The body doesn’t demand a full release.
It yearns to be let go- piece by piece.

Take a midday mental health moment.

Repeat for as long as it takes. 😉

Save for later. #waterfall #autumn taken in Ouray, Colorado by @rawbodyworkco

Sometimes all the body needs is some moving meditation by a raging waterfall to finally feel whole again.

We live in a society where touch is weaponized.
.
As a bodyworker who has endured unhealthy touch, it’s been my life’s work to provide a therapeutic and safe environment to each and every individual that walks into my space.
.
I have little words for what’s been transpiring in the news. I’m filled with rage that we continue to see story after story of someone being victimized by touch.
.
I just want everyone to know who is reading this, you are safe here. Consent is everything and in my orbit, your seen, valued and protected.

I don’t know what I’m doing. 🤷‍♀️
.
It’s not until I step into the room, connect with your body and breath that the session truly take shape.
.
I had a client once tell me she’s been trying to memorize my “routine” but struggles because I do something different every week. 🤣 I explained, gently, that I’m not following a script, I just follow my hands that are being guided by her body and breath. I told her sometimes I have no idea what move I have done because my eyes were closed and I was working from instinct and experience.
.
Well, that confused the heck out of her. We laughed and she told me that she trusts that I know what I’m doing even if I don’t.
.
That’s just it.
.
I know the body. Years of technique and learning. But I don’t decide what your session needs until I meet you on the table.
