If your “luxury” swimwear contains nylon, it’s not quiet luxury — it’s plastic.

Trust me, I know — it’s not easy to break up with all the plastic pieces in your wardrobe. I still have a couple things that are made out of nylon, polyester, elastane, and other plastic fabrics. For many years now, I have been slowly replacing my whole wardrobe and home with natural fibres and materials, one step at a time.

I remember when my husband first told me some years ago: “you know, the plastic fibres can actually absorb into your body through your skin” — I was shocked. That’s why I am not shocked at all when people don’t know this fact yet, and this is one of the main reasons Tāraṇa was born: to bring us back to what we are actually meant to wear on our skin, as nature intended.

99% of swimwear is plastic.

I searched everywhere for pure linen swimwear — and when I couldn’t find it, I created Tāraṇa Swim.

I’ve been wearing natural fibre swimwear for over a year now, and I genuinely can’t go back to “normal” bikinis. Plastic on my skin always felt wrong. Now? I feel free, grounded, and deeply in tune with nature.

How is our signature natural Hasayan rose perfume that’s an ingredient in our shampoo bar actually made?🌹

Long before glass flasks and chrome stills, the Mughals brought to India the art of distilling rose perfume using nothing but earth, fire, and patience. 🌹✨

In the traditional deg-bhapka method, fresh rose petals were gently simmered in copper pots sealed with river clay and cooled with wet natural fibres — no plastic, no machines, just elemental alchemy. The fragrant vapour travelled through bamboo pipes into receivers of pure sandalwood oil, where it condensed into liquid poetry — attar, nature’s perfume in its most honest form.

My husband and I travel to India at least once a year to source these natural perfumes straight from our lovely perfume makers hands. This way we are directly supporting him, his family, his small business and the ancient plastic-free method of perfume making. ❤️ No chemicals — only love!
