Mentorship is one of life’s greatest responsibilities—and one of its greatest honors.
I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to take these young leaders to their first soccer game. Experiences like this go beyond the game itself. They introduce youth to teamwork, discipline, community, and the confidence that comes from being included in something bigger than themselves.
As mentors, our role is not only to guide with words, but to create meaningful experiences that help shape perspective, character, and vision for the future. It’s always a privilege to invest time, presence, and intention into the next generation.

Rectify All Youth (R.A.Y) & @shootersabm took a group of young people to witness more than just a basketball game at the Georgetown Hoyas vs Providence matchup ..we gave them an experience, a vision, and a glimpse of what is possible when they are exposed to something greater than their everyday environment. Sometimes mentorship is not just correction through words, but connection through presence. It is about bridging the gap between where a young person is and where they could be, using real moments, real opportunities, and real guidance to plant seeds that can grow into purpose.
When youth are given meaningful experiences, they begin to see that better decisions create better outcomes, and that success is not something distant ….it is something they can move toward with the right influence around them. A true mentor does not just tell youth what to do, but walks beside them, opens doors for them, and helps expand their thinking. That is how lives are changed. That is how the gap is bridged. On June 5th 2026 my man Nathan Sharpe called and asked if I could fill in to speak to a group of youth at an alternative high school about the Commercial Driver’s License and the transportation industry These young people ranged from ages 14 to 18 and came from across the DMV area I am truly thankful to @yaaymedc that created this space and invited @thequarterticketclub out to pour knowledge into the next generation
This moment was bigger than just talking about a CDL It was about showing them that life has different roads and sometimes one skill one decision one opportunity can change the whole direction of your future I shared how the CDL changed my life the route I had to take to get there and how the transportation industry can create freedom stability and financial growth when you remain motivated disciplined and dedicated to your dream
What touched me the most was the love the youth showed me I came there to give them knowledge but they reminded me that purpose is not something you keep for yourself Purpose becomes powerful when you give it away The gift God placed in me became a seed for them and in return they showed me that my voice my story and my experience have the power to inspire transformation
I am thankful for this opportunity because moments like this prove that mentorship is not just about teaching youth where to go It is about helping them see that they are not trapped by where they started Every young person has a road ahead of them and sometimes all they need is someone who has walked a hard road to remind them that they can still arrive at greatness …. #fyp #motivation #mentoring #explore #careerday taken in Edgar Allan Poe Elementary School by @ray_dontplayy

On May 20, 2026, I was honored to be invited to Career Day, where I had the opportunity to speak about my profession as a mental health professional. This experience was bigger than just talking about a career — it was about planting seeds in young minds and helping middle school students understand the importance of knowing themselves emotionally.
My mentor @coachlewisking and I were able to give back by teaching on the 12 triggers of anger and explaining how learning your triggers can help you pause before reacting, think before speaking, and choose peace before conflict. Sometimes the greatest lesson we can give our youth is not just how to succeed in life, but how to control themselves when life tests them.
This moment was heartfelt because I know how powerful it is when young people are taught emotional awareness early. A trigger that is not understood can become a reaction, but a trigger that is recognized can become wisdom. Every child deserves the tools to understand their emotions, protect their future, and become more than what their anger tries to make them.

Rectify All Youth is truly honored to have been given the opportunity to bless a family with a moment they can hold close to their hearts forever. Sometimes it is not about the size of the gift, but the love behind it, the smiles it creates, and the memories that remain long after the day is over.
A mentor’s heart understands that families need more than support — they need moments of hope, joy, and togetherness. To be trusted with the opportunity to help create those lasting memories is a blessing, because every family deserves to feel seen, valued, and reminded that love still exists in the community.
Legacy is not only what we leave behind. Legacy is the feeling people remember after we showed up for them with a genuine heart.
