This is ‘Colliderscope’ Painted in heavy acrylics on canvas. It’s a metre square. It’s big and pretty loud. #abstractart #acrylicpainting #canvas #abstractart #abstractpainting #abstractedge #paletteknifepainting #nickraybould #contemporaryart #artforsale #shropshire #shropshireartists #nickraybould #abstractexpressionism #artcollector #artexhibiton #artistsoninstagram #artforsale #abstracted by @raybould_abstract

I’m just back from hanging the @abstractedgeart group exhibition at @ludlowassemblyrooms I think I have five pieces in this one. It was all a bit frantic and I’ve barely had time to decompress. Here’s some cut and paste bumf: We’re having a little ‘meet the artists’ launch event, at Ludlow Assembly Rooms on Friday 28th August from 11am. Come if you can and say hello to @totaarvold @michelblake88 @juliecooperartist @alisonmacgregorgrimley @janehardingartist @raeharrison000 @loishopwoodwales @maggie22jones @ciaralewisart and @raybould_abstract #abstractart #shropshireart #artexhibition by @raybould_abstract

Work continues on my latest metre square canvas. #wip #workinprogress #abstractart #contemporanyart The picture in my head has changed so many times that I’ve almost given up envisioning the finished piece. Instead, I’m reacting and making decisions on the hoof! #nickraybould @nick.raybould by @raybould_abstract

My studio has been like a sauna for the last couple of months. My drum kit, in the opposite corner from my easel has had hardly any action. This large canvas is progressing very slowly, but I thought I’d share this quick #workinprogressvideo I think it still has a way to go. #abstractart #canvas #contemporaryart by @raybould_abstract

This week I attended our regular @abstractedgeart meeting. This month’s host was @maggie22jones so we were treated to a gawp at her marvellous works, in her lovely studio. Arrangements for our forthcoming group exhibition at @ludlowassemblyrooms were discussed and tweaked - as well as plans beyond. There’s nothing like an impending event to get me back into my studio. So once back home, I was hard at it again - Despite this latest #heatwave🔥 #abstract #abstractart #ludlow by @raybould_abstract
