BLACKRAPID SPOTLIGHT: @raykuglar RAY KUGLAR Unit Stills Photography Ray Kuglar is a Houston-based unit stills photographer whose work helps bridge the gap between production and audience. He has spent more than a decade creating images for film, television, and commercial productions. The Night History Introduced Itself
I have a photography-adjacent story from my time in Pennsylvania during the principal photography of Gettysburg 1863, which may be one of my all-time favorite stories, period. Spoiler: it has nothing to do with the talent in front of the camera. #photography #camerastrap by @raykuglar

The funniest lie in indie film is:

“We don’t have the budget for stills.”

Brother(or sister)… you always pay for stills. The question is whether you pay for them now, or when you can’t get distribution because your poster options suck.
