two weeks since rock party and i couldn’t be more grateful. still reeling and blissed out and words feel hard ??? so i’ll recycle/reshare some that i had at the party:

She comes to me on nights like tonight when I lay next to the blanket she made me, she comes to me in the aisles at Berkeley Bowl as I pop a grape in my mouth to taste, she comes to me in the kitchen as I watch a pot boil and plate a salad in a handmade ceramic dish, she comes to me in the beautiful gardens and sunsets of the Berkeley Hills, she comes to me when I think of my first friend in the Bay Area.

This is Gayle and her magical home. My fellow Southerner turned Californian. I miss her dearly, and me oh my, am I grateful to have been cared for by her. by @raymacattack
