two weeks since rock party and i couldn’t be more grateful. still reeling and blissed out and words feel hard ??? so i’ll recycle/reshare some that i had at the party:

to my collaborators,
Alli Li for the rock-inspired bites, the space, the trust!
Rafi Fadda for the coolest and sweetest bookmarks to adorn my books—handmade with rocks they collected in Alameda.
Irrelevant Press for printing my books and sharing them around the world.

to my community,
(too many names to list) for the encouragement, support, and endless warmth throughout this process. this wouldn’t be possible without them. i really am the luckiest!

and to you,
everyone who has held this book, purchased it, or gathered here to celebrate it—my fellow rock lovers, enthusiasts, admirers, and educators—thank you. it has been special to see the meaning of this work take on so many forms.

let’s do it again??? 😚

If you can believe it, we just celebrated TWO YEARS OF VINELANDS! I am still beside myself when I remember I’m living my dream of DJing on the greatest community radio station on the planet @kexp. I remember when I got the call that I was chosen to co-lead this show with the best co-host in the biz @kelleystoltz. Every show we get to reflect the joy, resilience, and love of Bay Area music and for that I can only be grateful. Shout out to everyone on Team Vinelands - Franny, Ian, Sandra, Rachel, Tilly, Jackson and anyone I’m missing. Shout out mi gente @goyri & @maya.hhernandez for piloting the Vinelands Mothership when Kelley and I can’t! It is their show too!

Vinelands Forever!

Also I promise to stop throwing deuces and finger hearts at some point in my career.

Bay Area artists this one is for you. Our friends at @kexp and @noisepop are teaming up for 2026 to offer one artist the chance to record a Live on KEXP session at 25th Street Recording in Oakland during the festival. The selected artist will also be invited to play an opening slot at a special edition of KEXP’s Vinelands Live at a San Francisco venue with the show airing on KEXP 92.7 FM.

This call is open only to artists from the Bay Area and Northern California. For all the details and to apply head to @kexp and hit the link in their bio.
