Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Chocolate City Market last week! 🍫

It was a beautiful day, with beautiful people & most importantly, beautiful energy. Thank you to our amazing vendors for your time, talent, & excellent customer service. HUGE THANK YOU to the team at @thegogomuseum for welcoming us into the space & taking care of us while we were there.

Thank you to @begreatdc volunteers for packing & delivering 45 free grocery bags to our Ward 8 neighbors. Thank you to our DJs @frankyj.co & @curt_magurt_ + our yogis @kayasymoneee & @aysiah_w for bringing the vibes all day. & thank you to @chocolatethefilm & @eliamanismail for the screening & conversation! 🤎🫶🏾

This is what community looks like. 🖤

We spent Sunday at the @chocolatecitymarket at the @thegogomuseum, where every single table was a Black-owned business pouring their whole heart into what they make. Farmers with produce picked that morning. Makers, bakers, and small brands you won't find in any big store. And while we shopped, volunteers packed free groceries for our Ward 8 neighbors, because supporting local and taking care of each other were never two different things here.

Fall in love with your city by falling in love with the people building it.
Save this and shop small.
Tag a Black-owned business we need to know.
P.S. your dollar is a vote, spend it where it plants roots. 🤎
