POSTS STORIES REELS

Sometimes, people only see what happens on the screen. They rarely see what happens behind it.

@jakartaworldcinema is never just about watching films. It is about the people who believe in cinema, fight for it, and somehow keep it alive despite everything.

For the love of cinema. Always. by @razkarobbyertanto

THE STORY OF ROSE
The Voice We Must Not Forget.

Rose Pandanwangi.
Seorang Perempuan.
Seorang Seniman.

Cinema has a way of telling the truth.

This is Rose.
And this is the voice we must not forget. #ideafest2026 #kisahmawar #rosepandanwangi 📹 @diantriyulihandoko by @razkarobbyertanto

What happens when a forgotten voice finds its way back into the light?

The Story of Rose: The Voice We Must Not Forget explores the power of storytelling to preserve memory, confront what has been overlooked, and give space to voices that deserve to be heard. Through cinema and personal perspective, this session invites us to look beyond the story itself—and reflect on the people, experiences, and histories that shape what we remember.

Join Robby Ertanto and Chelsea Islan, with Sabrina Tiffany as moderator, as they explore the story behind Kisah Mawar (Rose) and why some voices must never be allowed to disappear.

📅 Sunday, 6 September 2026
🕐 5:00–6:00 PM WIB
📍 Lower Lobby, JICC Senayan

Discover a story that reminds us: what we choose to remember shapes the stories we carry forward.

Manhattan, 2026.

Are we really connected, or just drifting in the city of a thousand fireflies?

A journey of music, love, resilience, and art across generations.

Join us for a special movie discussion of ROSE, followed by an exclusive trailer screening!
Inspired by the extraordinary life of Rose Pandanwangi — Indonesia’s legendary seriosa singer — ROSE takes us through decades of history, from the Japanese occupation, life as an immigrant in the Netherlands, the rise of seriosa music in Indonesia, to her love story with legendary painter S. Sudjojono. Through every hardship, political turmoil, and personal loss, Rose continued to sing — holding onto art as a form of survival, love, and freedom.

A touching story about devotion to art, family, and the courage to keep finding your voice.

Featuring:
🎙️Razka Robby Ertanto & Maya Sudjojono
🎤Kevin Joel Anthony
