Saw these guys on Friday night. Jess is a huge fan of Roya, an EDM pop duo, and it’s obvious that they’re gonna be huge!

The opening act, LeyeT, a powerhouse triple threat singer dancer musician, who was awesome as well!

Can’t remember the last time I was at the Roxy, but they’ve cracked down on a lot of things including skateboards, camp chairs, air horn and drones. They confiscated my chewing gum at the door. by @rbchapin

Sons-a-bitches.

Shrinkflation is a tricky bastard.

Sometimes the product gets smaller, but other times it gets bigger. But not really.

Case in point, the “large” size cereal boxes.

It certainly does look larger, until you look at it from the side.

And then it’s wafer thin.

Coolest part of our DragonCon DCC cosplay day was walking out of the Hilton after a long day of classes, packed photo shoots, and a rockin dance party, was to run straight into Matt Dinniman as he was hanging out outside a lounge chatting with friends.

Dressed as his creations, Carl, Donut and Samantha, we all bowed to him, saluted, and he saluted us back. We probably could’ve asked for a photo, but that was enough for us, to acknowledge and be acknowledged by this humble creator, and a very cool dude.

We took this photo right before meeting Matt, which I cleaned up using AI and then had even more fun with in Nanobanana.

I’m sure folks will note the conflict with using Matt and AI in the same breath, as he is very opposed to the tech, but I’m hoping folks will see that this isn’t just some prompt.

This is us coming up with the idea for a photo of real people which we took in a real location with real costumes and real makeup which I then cleaned up and composited (as a vfx artist using the best tools available). by @rbchapin

So sad to hear that MaryLee Holzheimer passed. She was a wonderful lady and I can’t imagine Comic Con without her.

For decades I would show up at her table and drop off a stack of headshots to sell. By the end of the convention I’d swing by and she would hand me a roll of cash.

I was hardly a celebrity, but that didn’t matter. She treated me like royalty and always had a smile and time to chat even though she was always busy.

RIP MaryLee. You can finally take a break from the set up / tear down / transpo kinda life.

So sorry to hear about my buddy James Lew. We’ve lost so many recently, but James was truly a shock. Not only was he super talented, he was always super fit, and I was honored to work with him on Ring of Steel. He was the only person I would ever allow to do a blind spinning jump while slashing double broadswords at my face.

For all his talent, he was amazingly humble, had a huge heart, and a wicked sense of humor.

He will truly be missed. by @rbchapin
