「歡迎光臨麟光社」很高興邀請藝術家蘇郁心分享她的創作與實踐！藉由這次的放映分享會，藝術家及電影工作者蘇郁心將分享過去三年追蹤台積電海外設廠，對廠外的地景和環境生態的影響。分享會將專注於晶片和太陽能電池的原料矽晶體，從物質文化和能源的觀點來檢視運算地景，並帶來特殊水複數三部曲《陽光層積帶》的階段性呈現。

Welcome Lim-Kong Society is happy to invite Su Yu Hsin to share her artistic practice and work! Through this screening event, artist and filmmaker Su Yu Hsin will reflect on her film trilogy which centers around Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and its environmental consequences. The session will focus on silicon crystal — the essential material for both computer chips and solar cells — examining computational landscapes through the lens of material culture and energy history. We will watch the work-in-progress version of the Sunshine-belt Machine, the third part of the Particular Waters film trilogy.

台灣藝術家及電影創作者，現往返於柏林與台北。其研究導向的藝術創作從科技與生態的緊密關係出發，結合田野工作與跨領域合作，發展具水文詩性的敘事。她的作品探討水作為環境歷史載體與被技術控制的媒介。

The film will have its Japan Premiere on 19 Sep at 4pm in Theatre Image Forum in Tokyo. Second screening will take place on 23 Sep at 13:30 pm.

Thank you New York and all the lovely people I met - new friends and some old friends that we got to reconnect or meet IRL 🌿 Tidal gratitude to Candice @cancode for all the organizations and care throughout the process. Co-curator Gauri, gallerist Macushla, Lauren Clark and Shisanwu @shisanwu_llc for the exhibition supports💦 Uneven Geographies is opened until 30 Oct at @shivagallery.art New York’s September summer is so energetic and vibrant ✨ It’s hard to comprehend that this is my first ever visit in NYC but so meaningful to make a circle in many different ways for the Particular Waters Trilogy. Thanks Lukas @lukasbrasiskis and e-flux team for hosting the screening. It was so lucky to have Dawn Chan @thisdawnchan and Candice as post-screening conversation partners. Join us tomorrow, Thursday, September 10 at 7pm, for the opening of our fifth season with 𝗦𝘂 𝗬𝘂 𝗛𝘀𝗶𝗻’s 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑟 𝑊𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑠 trilogy, followed by a conversation with the artist, curator 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, and writer 𝗗𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻.

Following semiconductor production from Hsinchu, Taiwan, to Phoenix, Arizona, and Dresden, Germany, the trilogy examines the water and silicon sustaining computing and AI. Through a water truck driver’s perspective on Taiwan’s 2021 drought, Indigenous poetry heard across Arizona’s desert, and an investigation into Saxony’s mining and silicon industries, the films ask who bears the ecological costs of digital expansion.

In her trilogy ”Particular Waters“ (2026, 46 min.), Su Yu Hsin @rcagnes explores the material foundations of digital technologies. At its centre are water, the desert and silicon – resources and landscapes without which computer chips, datacentres and artificial intelligence could not exist. Rather than presenting digital infrastructures as abstract technologies, the artist shifts the focus to the ecological and political conditions on which they rely.

Two parts of “Particular Waters” (2026, 46 min.) can also be streamed online via Video Art online throughout the entire exhibition period (9.9.26 – 26.10.26), 🔗 in bio.

Join us at @efluxscreeningroom on Thursday, September 10 at 7pm, for a screening of Su Yu Hsin’s @rcagnes Particular Waters trilogy. The screening will be introduced by Candice Strongwater and followed by a conversation between Su Yu Hsin and critic Dawn Chan @thisdawnchan.

Following Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) from its headquarters in Hsinchu, Taiwan, to its expanding operations in Phoenix, Arizona, and Dresden, Germany, Su Yu Hsin’s research-based trilogy traces the entanglement between the global semiconductor supply chain and water infrastructures. Approaching computing and AI infrastructure from the material perspective of water and silicon, the films examine the resource consumption involved in chip manufacturing and its environmental consequences.
