A big congratulations to Lisa Licari, this year’s recipient of the County Executive’s Outstanding Environmental Volunteer Award!

Lisa has been volunteering with the Get Fresh Initiative since 2020, and if you’ve ever volunteered alongside her, you know she’s one of the best. She’s always ready to jump in, lend a hand, and help wherever she’s needed.

We’re so happy to see Lisa recognized for the years of time and effort she’s given to Get Fresh and to our community. This one is very well deserved!

Congratulations, Lisa! 👏💚 by @rcconservation

We were at St. Thomas Aquinas College today for the 4th Annual STEM Career & Graduate School Fair! 👋

We had a great time meeting students, talking about careers in environmental conservation, and sharing more about opportunities with RCSC.

Thanks to @stac_edu for having us and for bringing together students and organizations from across the STEM community!

Host Site Spotlight: Village of Piermont

We want to thank the Village of Piermont for hosting our Corps Members this summer.

Throughout the summer, our Corps Members supported the Village in meeting important MS4 stormwater permit requirements. Their work included mapping the Village’s stormwater system, inspecting for potential illicit discharges, supporting stormwater management efforts, and developing educational materials focused on protecting the Sparkill Creek.

We are grateful for the opportunity for our Corps Members to contribute to work that helps protect local waterways and improve water quality in the Village of Piermont.
