Stage 5 OK Corral local match.

Nothing feels better than when the dots connect on a stage. Shooting this didn’t “feel” fast. It just felt in a hurry and efficiently moving through the stage. Celebrate and study the small wins because eventually they lead to big wins.

The Work.
.
.
The boys @rcshootingteam putting in the work together to break new levels. A lot of people don’t know or see the amount of effort these boys put it. The dry fire, reps, and self diagnosis all adds up to what these boys do. When these boys place and accomplish their goals at matches it’s no credit but to them for the work they put in.

Being part of the team doesn’t require a special classification or any credential. It’s about being good dudes who push each other and hold each other accountable to trying to reach the same goals. In a community like this, there is no room for envy or self-destruction. There is room for everyone to grow and push each other. That’s what this life and team is about.

Proud to share the range and Journey with these boys. @_dirty_civilian_ , @danpolanco and Ozzy.

As always thank you to @firesmokestudios for capturing the team. by @rcshootingteam

@_dirty_civilian_ competed in the Oktoberfest at @okcorral.gunclub and finished 1st Place Carry Optics A Class / 2nd Place Carry Optics. @_dirty_civilian_ is putting in the work and is someone to keep watching! by @rcshootingteam

Some clips from last weekend’s Oktoberfest match @okcorral.gunclub

Was contemplating what 9mm tastes like after absolutely bombing 2 stages, but my broskis @romeo_concepts & @tactical.santi helped me keep my head in the game and convinced I could still come back. Which I did, clawed my way back into 2nd in CO and 1st in A class. Overall definitely not an amazing performance, but not bad for my first big match with the PDP. Time to get back to work before my next major in 2 weeks.

Hot Takes. Cold Range Ep. 2 - Quality > Quantity.

People often believe you need hours a day to train. While that would be amazing to have, it’s unrealistic expectations for majority of people. Between family, jobs and other responsibilities hours a day just isn’t feasible. However, with that being said realistically all you need is a couple minutes a day. While you’re watching your show or before you go to bed a couple minutes of dry fire goes a long way.

As long as the training and dry fire is intentional, those couple minutes will teach you what you need to know. It’s not about the reps, it’s about the ability to diagnose and adjust. by @rcshootingteam

After a week of getting after it, the getting after it continues. Physically I’m working out some scheduling, planning and student video reviews. Mentally I’m at @ohiorangeday sending Freedom Seeds down range….because America🇺🇸. by @rcshootingteam

Area 6 Stage 13.
.
.
On this stage wanted to try something different and shoot the steel in the beginning instead of shooting it later in the stage. A lot harder to execute and it didn’t end up paying off but the goal was just to flow through the rest of the stage and not stop. Couldn’t accomplish it and missed a couple spots which caused me to slow down and come to a near stop. by @rcshootingteam

Area 6 Stage 11.
.
.
Generally happy with this run (compared to the dumpster fires I was trying to put out). But still had a lot of things to clean up. Had more make ups than I wanted and dropped way too many points (stemming from a grip issue). Along with the standing 3 second reload. If I was to replan the stage, I probably would have done the reload into the 4th position which would have given me a hair longer to execute the reload from AIWB.

Things I was happy with were the movement and the intentional walk through which led to each position being marked correctly. by @rcshootingteam

So many mistakes at A6 this year. Had over 18 seconds wasted overall on just makeups. But it was a great match, much more fun than last year. Big thanks to our area director @whereareallthealphas. I still had a great time and I got to shoot with some homies, got to watch some absolute monsters from AMU shoot, and I still managed to pull out A class somehow. 🤷‍♂️

Area 6 Championship.

Unfortunately Area 6 was far from my best match. Ran into a lot of issues from concealment along with some grip issues but no excuses it is what it is. The cool thing is some other things that have been drilled in dry fire are coming together in actual runs. Another take away from this run, is I didn’t get flustered after the reload and just went directly back to following the plan.

Took home the homework now it’s time to get back to work and clean things up. by @rcshootingteam
