Monday Morning ☀️

Happy Monday friends! I absolutely love spending the morning with my little and enjoying breakfast together when we actually have time to. It is so nice just hearing her catch up on her little life and tell me stories.

I am taking a little break from reading the other series and going to dive into Tropesick by @laurenokieauthor I have heard such good things about it and can’t wait to read it!

Flame & Thorn series by @marionblackwood

This series has had me in a choke hold. I flew through the first two books while on vacation this last week and already almost 50% into the third book. I cannot put my kindle down and have been sucked into this world.

It has been a long time since I’ve been consumed by a series and can’t wait to dive into the next book to find out what happens.

Family Vacation 🚢

Hi friends! I know it’s been a bit since I’ve posted but life has been crazy busy, but I was so fortunate enough to be able to escape this last week to go on a Disney cruise. I got quite a bit of reading done. I think my favorite was sitting out on the balcony in the early morning listening to the waves and watching the sun come up.

I definitely think that this is what I needed to reset. On this vacation, I got my reading bug back and was able to finish two books while away. I’ve been in the biggest slump and haven’t wanted to read much. However, I rarely put my kindle down while out relaxing by the pool and down time from running around.

Happy Monday besties. I know I have been super sporadic at posting but life has been BUSY. Since starting work I’ve had a hard time finding balance on all the things I have to do to be an adult 😂 and doing the things I love. So if you have any tips send them my way!

I have been hard core obsessed with the Rookie. I am on season 7 and have been binge watching it for the last few weeks.

We taught our daughter how to play Mario Party. Safe to say she is obsessed and we have played a lot of this together!

First off, let me start by saying I have not read a book by Will Dean yet. I need to rectify that immediately. I still don’t know if I loved or hated this book more lol. It definitely tackles some very tough topics including bullying, gaslighting, narcissistic behavior and many more. Told in Peggy and Sam’s POV, we follow the story of this mother and son living under a very strict roof by Drew the husband and dad. There were so many times I just wanted to put this down, not because I wasn’t enjoying it, but because it was literally making me feel claustrophobic and the ick on what these two are going through. I hated Drew with every fiber of my being, but was constantly rooting for Peggy and Sam to figure out a way to make it out of their situation. This book forever made me feel grateful to my husband and the queen he treats me as.

Just For The Cameras 📸

This was such a fun book to read! If you are a big fan of the MQ verse then you will love all the cameos that we see in this book. It is one of my favorite things about reading a Meghan book being able to catch up with some of the other characters from some of the other series!

I was super excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. I found myself laughing, swooning, melting, and also being frustrated lol. Meghan Quinn knows how to bring out every emotion when reading her books. Maple and Graydon were such a fun experience from the get go. They literally hated each other and at some points didn’t think they were going to even make it to the flirting stage lol. Graydon is a super grump, probably one of the grumpiest men I’ve read in a long time. But that didn’t stop me from loving him. Once you realize why he is the way he is you develop a soft spot for him. Maple as always was so cute and loved her attachment to the flamingos. This was such a fun read and a great book listen to on audio with all the different narrators!

✨Friday Vibes✨

Happy Friday beautiful people! It is my last Friday before I go back to the work world. I have been a stay at home mom the last three years and I have loved every second of it. Now that my daughter is back in school It made sense for me to go back part time.

I have been addicted to playing animal crossing again. Getting ready for the new update next week!

Currently listening to My Husbands Wife by Alice Feeney. I am LOVING this. I am almost finished with it and cannot wait to see how this wraps up.

BOOK REVIEW ♟️

This was a crazy ride. I flew through this in a couple days and couldn’t put it down. This was a true enemies to lovers book. Tiernan and Lila relationship was full of pure hate and at some point didn’t think that we were going to get any type of relationship out of them. I really loved the deaf and ASL representation in this book. It was such a beautiful journey to go through with Lila of her finding her hearing and her voice.

This was honestly such a fun dark mafia read that really kept me on the edge of my seat with the twists and turns in this. I will admit that I did not guess one bit the twist at the end. It’s not very often that a dark romance book catches me by surprise, but this one was really good!

💭- Give me some more mafia books or dark romances? If you don’t have any, what was your last five star read?

Southern Texas Drama.
Unhinged Teenage Girls.

What more could you ask for?

I am such a sucker for small town drama and especially rich people behaving badly. Told through multiple POV’s, we get to see everyone and their drama unfold neatly through different eyes. These people are so unlikeable and unhinged that you almost hate to love them lol. Nellie was a little psycho, but honestly was a product of the way she was raised and you almost feel bad for her sometimes. I couldn’t put this down and wanted to know how this was going to turn out. Everyone was flawed and ridiculous in their own way. There is plenty of secrets to go around and plenty of drama to unfold. This was a perfect little soap opera type drama that kept me wanting to turn the pages to see how everyone was going to act even more crazy than before.

I loved the audio of this and all the different voice actors for the characters. And of course Malin Akerman was so fun to listen to! I’ve loved her for a while. I felt like each voice brought the story more to life and I really knew these characters!

Happy Pub Week!

We Who Will Die by @staciastarkauthor
Out tomorrow!

Okay, this was so freaking good.. Gladiators, vampires, unique magic system., what more could you ask for. I ate this up and was sucked in from the get to. I flew through this book in less than 24 hours. I was so invested in this story and wanting to know how this played out for these characters. The story and characters seemed very well thought out and developed. I loved Arvelle. She was truly a great FMC with grit, determination, and just a powerful strong woman that you love to see in this setting. I loved this book so much. The twists and turns, that also had you on the edge of your seat not knowing what was going to happen next. The little love triangle that is starting to form is also intriguing. I will 100% admit that I am team Rorrick and not ashamed of it one bit. Everyone loves a good villain.

Of course this books ends on a cliffy and I am not thrilled about it lol. I need the next book STAT. I need to know what happens and how this plays out.

Coffee & Currently Reading

Happy Saturday friends! Finally so glad it’s the weekend. Honestly the first day that I have been able to actually sit down. Being a mom during the holidays isn’t for the weak lol. But I can confidently say that I am officially done with everything. All my presents are bought, wrapped, and under the tree. I am looking forward to just being a couch potato today!

So excited to get the second book in the Holly Ridge series. I loved The Bright Side of Christmas and so excited for this one! If you haven’t read any of Morgan’s Christmas book please add them to your holiday TBR. So worth it!
