I’ve had Bloodgaurd on my shelf for far too long, finally picked it up and was pleasantly surprised by the artwork inside! Such a pretty book & the sprayed edges are my favorite!

I’ve been on a streak of amazing books/narrators lately and I had to share! Thank you again @flippenpages_ for the awesome post idea!

🎧 Last - Beyond the Gender Binary by @alokvmenon Poet, artist, and LGBTQIA+ rights advocate Alok Vaid-Menon deconstructs, demystifies, and reimagines the gender binary. Fantastically written + completely accessible. HIGHLY recommend. It’s a quick and powerful listen narrated by the author.

🎧 Now - Salt Bones by @jenngivhan Salt Bones blends Latina and Indigenous culture, family drama, mystery, horror, and magical realism into something truly spellbinding. It’s raw, gripping, and beautifully written! @_victoria_villarreal is the perfect narrator for this story. I’m actually doing an immersive read for this one and highly recommend reading it that way!

🎧 Next - Wayward Girls by @susan_wiggs_ A wrenching but life-affirming novel based on a true story of survival, friendship, and redemption. Set in the turbulent Vietnam era in the All-American city of Buffalo, New York. Very much looking forward to this one!

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
First of all— @leoking8473 can do no wrong! And honestly? I’m a little worried I won’t do this review justice.

King of Ashes is wild! It’s gritty, raw, and full of pain, but also packed with love, loyalty, and revenge. Roman, Nevaeh, and Dante’s story is intense and unflinching—it’ll grab you by the heart and won’t let go. Roman’s fierce devotion to his siblings is unforgettable. I honestly don’t know how Cosby pulls it off, but he always manages to blend brutal, edge-of-your-seat thrillers with these moments of unexpected tenderness.

The anxiety. The jaw-dropping moments. And the little surprises he slipped in for longtime fans…unmatched! My DMs are always open for when you need to scream, spiral, or send unhinged messages—because trust me, you’re going to need someone. lol

But the best pairing? S.A. Cosby and Lazarre-White are a character-deepening, story-elevating powerhouse.

Still fangirling over the fact that we got to meet @authorelsiesilver & @authortarahdewitt 💕 They were just as sweet, kind, and funny as we imagined!

Elsie has been an auto buy author for us for years and Tara is quickly climbing our list of top romance authors. We can’t wait to dive into her entire backlog!

Also loved getting to hang IRL with some of our fave Utah booksta girlies—such a fun night full of book talk, laughs, and good vibes.

Huge congrats to Tara on the release of Left or Forever!

Last night I got to meet the gorgeous Tarah Dewitt and Elsie Silver!

If you’ve been here a minute you know that o grew up hating to reading! I hated it so freaking much until a little over 3 years ago my SIL told me to read a book and the rest is history!

@authorelsiesilver Chestnut Springs series was the first small town romance series I ever read and it was def a gateway drug to my small town/cowboy OBSESSION! Such a full circle moment to meet her! She’s is such a genuinely kind person, and she hugged me! 🥹

@authortarahdewitt is a new to me author and she had me laughing the whole night. Her passion for writing and her characters is inspiring! I’m going to devour this book and her back log! She’s got a fan in me for life! 🙌🏻 Also, look how gorgeous her shoes are 😍

Had such an amazing time with all my booksties last night too! Such amazing women! Shoutout to @thebookbox.ut for throwing this amazing event! 🙏🏻
