Another year around the sun! This last year has tested me in so many ways but I feel like being in your thirties is really when you find out who you are / wanna be. Let’s not forget SATC, friends, new girl, & so many more are all shows about being in your 30s… it’s only season 1 here 🎉👏

Forever grateful again for this community & the friendships I’ve made here as well. I love each and every one of you. 🧡✨

✨ currently reading…

It’s definitely fall in my eyes, & so I picked up a few fall romances at my local library including this one. I am absolutely inhalllllllinnnngggg it. Everything about this one is 🤌 chefs kiss 💋!! As someone who has worked in the pet industry for 10 years and rescued all of my animals, this book centering around rescuing a golden retriever is really pulling at my heartstrings. & that’s not the only golden retriever in the book… hello, the mmc Everett?!?! 😮‍💨 bonus points he also wears slutty little glasses & is a plant daddy! I already feel this one is shaping up to be 5 stars.

📖 s y n o p s i s:

Cameron Goode is on the verge of giving up her dream of becoming a vet. Buried under debt and juggling two jobs with a full course load, she’s utterly overwhelmed. Then a local rescue organization reaches out about a neglected golden retriever in desperate need of help.

The last thing Cameron needs is another responsibility. But something inside her shifts when she looks into the eyes of the dog, who is so obese that she can barely move. Cameron is Aggie’s last chance. And she’s not going to let her go.

Cameron brings Aggie home, where the promise of Autumn is in the air. As the leaves begin to change, so do both Cameron and her rescue, whose recovery she chronicles on a TikTok account. Aggie’s resilience inspires Cameron to open up to the neighbors in her building, including Everett, the guy next door who dropped everything to help Cameron save Aggie. He also happens to look really good in sweaters.

When the account goes viral, Cameron finds herself faced with a choice between monetizing the best thing in her life or struggling to make rent and care for Aggie. ✨ August recap…

Crazy to think I haven’t posted in an entire month & my last post was a July recap 😅 but here I am! August slipped between my fingers, I’ve spent almost the entire month working 10+ hour days prepping for my new home & the other half of the month moving. But we’re done! I even managed to slip in a shopping day with the bestie to settle into the new home. We’re starting a rather unorthodox chapter, but honestly it’s cozy change for sure! A BIIIIG thank you to so many of you guys who have reached out this month and made sure we were doing ok and the warm wishes 🧡

I still managed to squeeze in a small bit of reading, I can’t wait to finish this one! I am loving every bit!! I also managed to watch two shows this month & also a rewatch of a comfort kdrama… but really I’ve been asleep by 9 almost every night.

I am so so happy September is here! September is my fav month as it’s the start of fall, my birthday month, and when things really start feeling cozy! I also loooooove October, so I am just so excited we’ve made it through summer. by @readandwrite_jess

✨ July recap….

I can’t believe it’s August already! July was a very busy month, and looking back I’m so glad I took so much time to still enjoy it. I also managed to squeeze in 3 reads & loved every single one! I’m also on a documentary binge right now so if you have any good suggestions let me know!

It’s moving month for me now, I’m living out of boxes and sleeping on a mattress on the floor 😅 so things might be a lil quiet on this account for now. I’m hoping to still squeeze in a couple of books from the library because I’m sure my internet will be cut off, but I don’t have high hopes, just taking it one day at a time.

✨ Free little library vlog!

My son is super into wanting to make videos/vlogs etc, but I’m big on internet safety. I told him we’d compromise and he could help me do things faceless & be apart of my booksta!! So say hello! 👋

We’re moving & we’re having big feelings about it. I LOVE this neighborhood, and as happy as I am to move back to a huge property in the forest, I’ll miss walking these streets with so many friendly faces & all the free little libraries. We’re downsizing our life so we’ve been donating books that no longer set our heart & soul on fire & it was so cute to watch him get excited to give back to multiple libraries of his own books 🥲😭🧡

✨ Ronin’s guide to romancing your best friend…

Happy pub day to @kellygraysonwrites !!
Listen, I love Kelly with my entire heart so I’m so proud of her debut! But this review is completely my own unbiased thoughts. And I loved it. Every single bit. As a small town girlie, she ate this trope up. I related soooo much to Mellie through out. Feeling like you have to spread your wings & leave, trying to prove yourself without letting yourself see & feel what’s right in front of you. The fear of being stuck. But realizing when you’re older just how much has been there for you all along. & Ronin. Oh, sweet Ronin. The biggest cinnamon roll of a book boyfriend there is. The man was down bad since the first moment he met her. We all deserve a Ronin. I mean helloooooo, the way he took care of her during her first period as a teenager and only as a FRIEND?!? I’m in love your honour.

This book was super cozy, no huge dramatics, & felt very relatable all the while reading. I loved that this book just played out along side movie marathons, camping, gaming, running a bookstore, etc, it felt like a warm hug & the perfect escape from reality.
