📚 The dark forest… one of the ways I judge whether the book is interesting for me or not especially when it’s a big novel… I read until the 100th page if I am not hooked then I just stop reading that book

I was getting a little bit bored with the dark forest which is odd considering I am the biggest fan of the three body problem but things started to get a little interesting

This character Lou Ji was trying to write a novel to his girlfriend as a birthday present 🎁… but little did he know he started falling in love 🥰 with the fictional character he imagined…

I think some of my highlights are interesting you can swipe and check them out

Simply one of my favorite scifi trilogy… I will admit Netflix did a decent job in the TV show adoption even though they basically changed most of the characters 😝 I hope they do a much better job for the second and the third season

When it comes to Political related stuffs George Orwell is definitely talented his novels are well crafted… I’ve read Animal Farm and I really liked the book 📕 because it really reflects on today’s society… So that’s why I wanna get into his second novel 1984 I’ve heard it’s a really good novel too

Oh by the way lemme know what you think of my sketch ✍🏾

📚 recently I’ve been trying to get into classic literature, So I went to the library to see what I can find. I have little knowledge when it comes to this particular genre so I did some research then… I found a few recommendations:

- The brothers of Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky: so according to what I’ve searched this is philosophical classic novel that discusses about questions of God, Free will and morality… Very interesting at least to me but it’s a really massive novel so I don’t think I will be starting with this one but it’s definitely on my TBR

- 1984 by George Orwell: I mean do I need to say much? George Orwell is an amazing writer so with no doubt I will read this one.

- War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy: if you have ever been interested in classic novels I am sure you’ve came across or at least heard of this novel… and let’s address the elephant 🐘 in the room first… the book is massive 1000+ pages with 600+ characters 😱😱😱 Normally this would be a hard pass for me but this book is not a classic for no reason so it must be that good soo…. TBR🤫

- Francis Bacon : The major works : it’s about poetry, philosophy and history but poetry is not really my cup of tea so I am not sure I will really look into this one.

But anyway I wanna hear your thoughts… any recommendations? Have you read any of these? Lemme know in the comments down below ⬇️

Here some of my September reads… Keep in mind I don’t really plan on finishing all of these books in September.
One because I am a slow reader, second I found that especially when it come to nonfiction books it’s much better to read them slow the goal here is to understand them and be able to apply what read.

The books are:

- The 48 laws of power
- how to win friends and influence people
- The dark forest
- A short history of nearly every
