Here's a brief intro 👇🏻

📚 Influence: this book is a package of things you do to manipulate people into doing stuff you want but in a positive way ! ... Best for advertising and business related skills !!

📚 Read people like a book: The more you know about human behaviour, The more you know about their preferences and decision making process. The behaviour types help you predict the actions of the person and synchronise with them in order to make situations more favourable for yourselves..

📚 Surrounded by the idiots : a brief guide of all you need to know about decisions people unconsciously make based upon their behaviour types.

📚 Never split the difference : a book by a former FBI agent, gives you an introduction to how you make people say what you want via some tricky communication tools.

#𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 | Us Against You
By Fredrik Backman
5/5 ★★★★★

“The complicated thing about good and bad people alike is that most of us can be both at the same time.”

It may be just me, but when I read the last chapter of this book, it could have already been the end. Unlike the first book, there was no explicit hint of the third and final book.

BUT since I fell in love, deeply, with the characters and the town itself (by the way, it is more of a love-hate), grabbing on to the third book came automatically. I must know more; I must uncover more layers to every characters as much as I can, to which Backman was so effective on laying down.

Each character was given ample moments to shine (in short, so we can either like or hate them or even both) and their stories could be disturbingly relatable to the point that it would also question your own personal principles and morals.

This series is for you if you like team sports, if you like small town stories, or if you enjoy family sagas, or if you hate stereotypes and you root for under dogs and you enjoy success stories and heartbreaking ones.

Personally, I was so fascinated by Backman’s writing style—how he never fails to amuse me with his indirect punches to the gut, and his bomb droppings in the end of paragraphs that will keep you wanting to read more.

Trivia: this is the second series that I lay my hands on after The Poppy War. Before, series do not appeal to me because I felt like it will consume so much of my time and there are way too many books to devour—but now, both TPW and beartown series proven why there should be such long stories that cannot fit in a single book. Because in real life, we root for our life’s story to be as unending as it could be. Because stories are needed to be told, in detail and in no rush, because they count. Because they matter.

Will you read this book series?
